@ClaudioQuintinoCrow That's an absurd thing to say... With technique comes freedom. He can play whatever he feels because of his technique. That is where art comes from. When your heart can lead, and your head can follow, you create art. That requires discipline and years of practice. I don't think he looks bored - i think that he looks totally relaxed and comfortable with what he is playing. Untalented artists pervert art, not the other way around.
@ClaudioQuintinoCrow Art is a combination of an idea that an artist feels the need to express, and the technique used to express. Art is highly subjective, we can all agree on that. If you don't have technique to express your art, it remains just an idea. perhaps you can't comprehend the depths of the art that Mr. Chambers is expressing. That doesn't mean that it's a perverted art, it just means that you don't get it. You should work on your listening technique...
@jlcsdrummer Absolutely - being myself a musician born to a musicians family I definitely should work on my "listening technique". That's by far the most nonsensical reply one could come up with, but I won't even consider that - the whole point revolves around how good Chambers was when he combined creativity AND technique, which are complimentary, meaning one should never overthrow the other - hence my initial observation.

@gwaller60 So true, that's what happens when technique perverts art. Sad.
