He left room in his conversation though that suggests there might be more quantitative easing in the future. The downward trend we had yesterday of all precious metals is in direct relationship with what he said. The dollar gained a little "hope" in the futures market, but I believe more stimulus packages are on the way and silver should be over $50 an ounce

I noticed that scale was off by an ounce. The gold says 10 and the scale says 11, so which do you go by? I thought those scales would have to be very accurate, because I imagine the jeweler would use something close to that scale when determining value for a customer.

@gamingeugenics That particular scale does not measure in " troy ounces" only traditional ounces and grahms. Precious metals are commonly measured in troy ounces. 1 troy oz = 1.1 traditional ounces. I need to purchase a better scale. Thanks for the comments.

@ChuckNorris2344 I purchased this when gold was much cheaper. It came in a plastic case which I still keep it in . I only take it out on occasion. Unlike a coin that may have a high grade mint-state and needs to be kept in perfect condition , and may increase in value over time due to rarity , these bullion bars are only worth their weight. So it can be banged around a bit , and won't lose its value . However , of course you try your best to keep it as pristine as possible. Thnx for commenting

@hardcommunist Valid point , I took the gold to two separate places and had it checked out. Both shops did their tests and both said that they are over 99 % sure that it is authentic. One of the dealers even showed me a list of all the licenced dealers in the U.S.A. and the dealer I bought it from was ont hat list. I am content.

@MrAlexandreJuby "troy ounce" is a unit of measuring the weight of precious metals. It is very similar to a normal ounce but not exactly.

1 normal ounce = .911458 troy ounces

1 troy ounce = 1.09714 regular ounces.

When you purchase gold , you purchase it in troy ounces. so 16 troy ounces of gold will not equal 1 pound of gold. 1 pound of gold = 14.5833 troy ounces. So when you buy a 1 oz gold coin for instatnce , it actually weighs 1.09714 ounces. .

Here I decided to weigh my 10 troy ounce Gold Swiss Pamp. My scale only measures in regular ounces and grams. 1 troy ounce = 1.09714 oz or 31.1034 grams.

10 troy ounces = 10.9714 oz or 311.034 grams.

My scale reads 11 ounces or 312 grams which is pretty darn close. I am content.
