Dorothy Collins was a child star in her native Canada with quite a different face from what we knew later (ditto Florence Henderson, who looks almost nothing like she looked when she first emerged from Indiana). Dorothy was a superb singer from the get-go and her gifts simply grew through the years.

This is great. i remember this show as a youngster.She had a great voice. we saw her on broadway in 71-in the musical Follies-and she was great-betond great. What a voice. It was a great performance. She did it all-singer,actress,comedienne,­tv star-and a wonderful lady. A lot of her early music is being rereleased on cd again. Many of the Your Hit Parade shows are available today on dvd. She sang as clear as a bell.She was great in summer stock musicals-saw her in South Pacific.Wow.great again.
