Its not freedom from Britain you need, its freedom from the EU.
The Irish don't love freedom, they just hate the Brits... And don't come crying to me about who should be where, cos i don't give a shit, and i voted for Irish sovereignty twice, and still they surrendered to Europe an gave away the freedoms their ancestors strived for. If you want to make a difference stop surfing vids of old fights on the web and get active against the EU.

great. but thats not what I was trying to convey. If (hypothetically) the Irish were dark-skinned, then Irish Americans would have no influence and there would be no NORAID or any American involvement in Irish affairs. Luckily thats not the case. also, Erin Go Bragh
Irish-American relations go back to when America and Britian were still enemies. It has nothing to do with the Irish being light skinned and never did.
And NORAID was founded by Americans of Irish decent and would have excisted had the Irish been dark skinned or not. It was about Irish Nationalism and pissing of England.
yeah nice on mate lets start call all Afro British Afro Scottish Afro Irish Afro Sweden Afro German LMFAO come on look at how ugly it sounds Afro Irish
Two protesters were injured when they were run down by army vehicles. Many witnesses, including bystanders and journalists, testify that all those shot were unarmed. Five of those wounded were
shot in the back
Two investigations have been held by the British Government. The Widgery Tribunal, held in the immediate aftermath of the event, largely cleared the soldiers and British authorities of blame, he described the soldiers shooting as "bordering on the reckless"
Because they're always bitching at how the UK is treating them like garbage and they are always bombing each other so I think that they should unite: to unite the island geographically and politically, stop the bloodshed amogst themselves, and so they will stop dissing the UK for the supposed injustices committed against them. After all, "if you don't like it, leave!"
Sigh. It grates to hear 'supposed' injustice. The brits, I mean the english - colonised Ireland. If the northern Irish could have left, they would have done so immediately - but 90% of Irish independence vs. 10% of home rule [read: protestant loyalists - the very people 'if you don't like it, leave' applies to] was too great a temptation. The Uk has no place there. Read up on your history pal.
michael..this vids about Ireland , how is it ur country? since when has Ireland been a state of Australia? some of u aussies are just as bad as the yanks. LOL ,
While a lot of the Irish diaspora here aren't well informed about most of these events or political issues (as they are complex), don't throw insults at those of us who are at least making an effort to understand it.
And why not bring the US into it, is it wasnt for the yanks and their distorted view of reality there would have been peace in Ireland years ago. 9/11 was a reality check that terror isnt so romantic when its on your doorstep and not thousands of miles away.
retired British Army Major Hubert O'Neill, issued a statement on 21 August 1973, at the completion of the inquest into the people killed. He declared:
This Sunday became known as Bloody Sunday and bloody it was. It was quite unnecessary. It strikes me that the Army ran amok that day and shot without thinking what they were doing. They were shooting innocent people. These people may have been taking part in a march that was banned but that does not justify the troops coming in and firing live rounds indiscriminately. I would say without hesitation that it was sheer, unadulterated murder. It was murder
Another point that is to mention is the fact that it was himself who wrote Battle Cry of Freedom, thus he copied his own song, not very far catched I guess.
Well, if it joined the rest of the island it would unite the island geographicly. Plus the Northern Irish have little if any loyalty to Great Britain.
This is my account and I have the right to decide which comments will be posted or which will be deleted. I won't tolerate ANY disgusting or threatening comments against myself or irish patriotism.
To all "biritish patriots" who "commented" this vid: The british have no right to oppress the people in Northern Ireland.Northern Ireland is a part of Ireland and not of the UK. Ulster was and is part of Ireland and not of the UK.
NO! Therickyfighter maybe you should look things up with a bit more care the next time: He was born at Sheffield, Massachusetts, and was named after the German-born British composer George Frideric Handel. That's a BIG DIFFERENCE!!!
I think its kinda funny how many Reble songs have tunes taken right from American Civil war songs. This is pretty clearly taken from Battle cry of Freedom
Its even funnier when you think of all the Civil War songs that were taken from Irish melodies. Probably due to the large influx of Irish during this period. My msuic history would probably suggest that the Battle Cry of Freedom's melody is more Irish than American.
For and American who cares nothing for Ireland, has no Irish blood, and is of English decent...I'd say that was pretty good...Pretty damn good. Although I do approve of North Ireland joining the rest of the island to form a whole nation of Ireland.

Most Americans that sympathize with the IRA do so because they are Irish. Not because the IRA are white.
