You have to feel a little sorry for Aunt Harriet. She is made to look so stupid, ahd she's hardly ever allowed to do something really important. She was supposedly there so Batman and Robin couldn't just lounge around Wayne Manor in their Batman / Robin outfits. But I still think they coud have done more with her character.
Mr. Romero embodied the lunacy, camp fun and menace of the Joker. He makes it all look so easy, but trust me, it AIN'T. Lot of preparation to make it all so believable. A great actor.

Sure for this version Ceasar Romero was perfect for this role, Then for the darker, grimmer version Heath Ledger was perfect for the role.
Look at Heath Ledger's make up. He doesn't looked like Joker because of that stupid design! Jack's make up was good but his face was the problem. But cesar is really looks like Joker! Compared to Jack and Heath at least.

Let's be honest. This show, especially episodes with the main 4 villains, was, and is, so, so great. All components, such as the acting of Cesar Romero, the fashion statements, plot, it is all so great, even 44 years later.

Holy red snapper it's the Joker! Brilliant writing. Just brilliant. Caesar Romero really makes you believe he IS the Joker. Adam West is very good as Bruce Wayne and Batman, you can really believe that he is them, his charms etc. Brilliant casting.
Cesar Romero was a great Joker. As were Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger, They all played different aspects of the Joker. Jack Nicholson played a more mafia/gangster Joker who, like in the comics, has a sadistic personallity and commits crimes for his own amusement. Cesar Romero played a less brutal and violent Joker that likes commiting crimes that are ridiculous and laughable. Heath Ledger played a total demented psychopath Joker who is more serious that he is funny. They were all great!
It's kind of unfair to compare Ceasar Romaro's Joker with Heath's because this was so long ago, and his whole personality, laugh, etc. are based off of the comic books. In my opinion Robin is just a gay, stupid character...Batman doesn't need a sidekick. Heath Ledger Joker is the best because he is downright psychotic and apathetic. He doesn't about anything, nothing scares him, and even his physical appearance is unsettling (the bad teeth, unkempt hair). Heath's Joker is the sexiest.

Actually the Joker is meant to be a psychotic murderer with a sadistic sense of humor. I think all the actors who played the Joker did an exceptional job in playing different aspects of him. Overall, he is meant to be funny but in a psychotic and sadistic way.
Well, Heath wins for best surporting role as the joker. Romero's hard attitude as the Joker feels a bit threatening. Nicholson's look is more threatening and Ledger's motive gives somewhat bit of a threat. The cartoon with Mark Hamill's voice over is okay but the best Joker by far...is the comics. It's more than being a psychopath. It's something of a person that no one can't understand in the beginning until you get it at the end.
Well of course the original Joker in the comics is the best, but I'd have to say Mark Hamill is the best Joker outside the comics, but everyone to pla the Joker played him very differently and all these aspects of the Joker can be found in the comics.
Well, thats because Hamill was given a script from either Warner Bros. or DC Comics. He didn't wrote that. They just need his voice. I really love the way it never changed much even from this series. Batman is still Bruce Wayne, the Joker is still crazy and twisted (just less violent) and there's even the Batmobile. It's just adjusted to each time period, which is awesome ^_^ Romeo did a great job for Joker during this time!

That's easy to answer that one. The reason Joker always fight the Batman in the comics is because he's an opposite of him: Batman is serious, Joker is not. Batman has arsenal of weapons that looks threatening but doesn't kill. Joker has arsenal of weapons that looks harmless but does kill. Batman is mad and warns the Joker. Joker taunts the Batman with eerie jokes. Batman looks scary. Joker looks funny. You understand now?
Actually, this version of the Joker is very different from the one seen in the comics and other adaptations. He is, rather than being a sadistic, psychotic clown that kills people for his own amusement, he is a more playful trickster that commits comedically ridiculous crimes. You see, the 60's batman series is meant to be a satirical and funny take on Batman.
He did a great joker, remember it was the 60s and less agresive times. and also remeber that every actor will try and do better than the one before, but truly they all did a great job in there time. I Wonder who will be the next Joker?

It's kind of unfair to compare Ceasar Romaro's Joker with Heath's because this was so long ago, and his whole personality, laugh, etc. are based off of the comic books. In my opinion Robin is just a gay, stupid character...Batman doesn't need a sidekick. Heath Ledger Joker is the best because he is downright psychotic and apathetic. He doesn't about anything, nothing scares him, and even his physical appearance is unsettling (the bad teeth, unkempt hair). Heath's Joker is the sexiest.

by the way. cesar romero joker is not meant to be anything like the stupid idiot joker in the comics who is psychotic and stupid. he is meant to be funny joker which he fails at. that's why cesar romero, jack nicholson, mark hamill, and heath ledger all suck. they all played a stupid idiot character

Heath didn't play a "stupid idot character" the Joker isn't supposed to be funny he is a MURDERER and the version Heath played is much more appropriate. I guess some people just don't have taste these days...*sighs* We'll just see who played the best Joker when Heath wins that oscar on Sunday.

Actually the Joker is meant to be a psychotic murderer with a sadistic sense of humor. I think all the actors who played the Joker did an exceptional job in playing different aspects of him. Overall, he is meant to be funny but in a psychotic and sadistic way.

Well, Heath wins for best surporting role as the joker. Romero's hard attitude as the Joker feels a bit threatening. Nicholson's look is more threatening and Ledger's motive gives somewhat bit of a threat. The cartoon with Mark Hamill's voice over is okay but the best Joker by far...is the comics. It's more than being a psychopath. It's something of a person that no one can't understand in the beginning until you get it at the end.

Well of course the original Joker in the comics is the best, but I'd have to say Mark Hamill is the best Joker outside the comics, but everyone to pla the Joker played him very differently and all these aspects of the Joker can be found in the comics.

Well, thats because Hamill was given a script from either Warner Bros. or DC Comics. He didn't wrote that. They just need his voice. And as for others, yeah, that's true: different strokes for different folks. Okay, well, let see if you could rate your opinion to the other Jokers on YouTube. Many are wannabes but some are good, even females! ( I kid you not )

Wasn't it Larry Storch on the Scooby-Doo thing? And the new Joker in "The Batman" is okay but I can't really picture that voice with the Joker in the comics.

I really love the way it never changed much even from this series. Batman is still Bruce Wayne, the Joker is still crazy and twisted (just less violent) and there's even the Batmobile. It's just adjusted to each time period, which is awesome ^_^ Romeo did a great job for Joker during this time!

I hate cesar romero, jack nicholson, heath ledger, and mark hamill. they are all no good actors. i hate joker as a character as well. whoever thought of the character is an idiot! he alwatys fights with batman.

Yes it is strange...I mean why in the Hell would Joker always fight batman. It isn't like he is a batman villan or anything. And isn't strange how that some of the worst actors always play him. You would think after play in such popular movies that eventually they would catch on. Also I'm sure that you could act better than any of them, and I know for a fact that you have won very popular awards. What is your name again, perhaps I have heared of you.

That's easy to answer that one. The reason Joker always fight the Batman in the comics is because he's an opposite of him: Batman is serious, Joker is not. Batman has arsenal of weapons that looks threatening but doesn't kill. Joker has arsenal of weapons that looks harmless but does kill. Batman is mad and warns the Joker. Joker taunts the Batman with eerie jokes. Batman looks scary. Joker looks funny. You understand now?

Actually, this version of the Joker is very different from the one seen in the comics and other adaptations. He is, rather than being a sadistic, psychotic clown that kills people for his own amusement, he is a more playful trickster that commits comedically ridiculous crimes. You see, the 60's batman series is meant to be a satirical and funny take on Batman.
