After this homer he tied for the team lead in hits for the rest of the series. And anyone who's somehow upset about him taking a shower after his work was done for the night is retarded. They should be upset at Torre for somehow taking him out of a close game. "Defensive replacement" is insanity -- Pierre is barely better in left than Manny (Pierre has NO ARM and he's lost a couple steps in recent years) and in a close game it's much more important to have Manny's bat if it went extras.

Phillies didnt win this Torre gave it to them,damnit he left Kershaw in there after the three run shot Howard doubled two more score,Sherril wallks two he leaves him in another 3 run shot ,5 of the 8 runs are solely Torres fault.now I'm not saying had he changed pitchers those 5 runs wouldnt have come in but I"m almost certain only 2-3 of those runs wouldve scored making the end result 6-6 or 6-5 in the ninth.whats done is done...lets get a game 2 win...let go Dodgers!!!

i agree, wolf should have started, hes the most reliable. kershaw is either on or he is off, and when hes on he cant be beat, but its too much of a risk putting him out there game 1

yeah, I think kershaw is the type of guy who needs the motivation (seeing a veteran beat the phillies before him), just like he saw wolf beat the cardinals.

the 1-2 punch for the dodgers is wolf THEN kershaw i think the best set up man for the dodgers is the wolf, kershaw, and then padilla.

yeah i like our chances int he rest of the series though, im expecting a loss tomorrow if cliff lee pitches as well as he has been, but a win would be amazing. then i bet wolf will win game 4. its basically a best of 5 series where the phillies have home field advantage, but the dodgers will still pull it out

I know cliff is good, but wainwright was on his A game when he pitched. Both the cards and phills dont have a bullpen anywhere near us. This series is all about pitching and who is going to break down first. Im skeptical about kuroda, but I seen what he did last year. He can get the job done if we make capitalize on cliffs errors
