I went to LIberia and its more than just the fterrible pics on tv about war. Monrovia is clean and the people are soo kind .! i would love to go back and i highly recommend liberia (they have wonderful food )

The condition in which the city finds itself is the result of a war-on a magnitude that neither Ghana nor Ivory Coast ever witnessed. Context is everything. The video is not a shame to the world, but a reminder of how cruel the world can be. Hiding the ills of war or ignoring the suffering is a disservice to the world. Now that is a shame.

I lived in Liberia in the mid 1980's so this video was a real trip down memory lane. Thank you so much. The corner of Gurley and Broad in 1984 for a white 23 year old American was a blast! It is so sad what happen to that country though I saw a preview of the brutality in the 1985 coup attempt.
