  • @bigoldsweet You basterd! You probably got it by this time, you beat me!! (j/k mate!)

    Cheers!

  • Long Live David Bowie! He's one of those true Artists in danger of extinction!

  • Man he is sexy!!!

  • Anyone else notice how the mic jumps from "on the stand...in his hand" from scene to scene in the latter part of the video? Kinda funny.

I love this song long time.

  • The Great White Duke!

  • So. Two different videos. Both great for different reasons. The Lord Byron one is a semitone higher than this and hence a tad faster. Guess the recording was on tape, hence tempo and pitch would be related.

For me the Byron one works better: it just drives more and everything sounds that bit tighter. The solo sax screams like an animal: absolute goosebumps! And the drums drive like a train, with baritone sax honking beneath. Total rock'n'roll! Bowie works the androgyny so well. Surreal makeup

  • He caused a fashion stir wearing a pattern on a pattern. "Clash with Dash" someone wrote. I hope he's ok. He loves to sing to an audience. He said it was his favorite thing to do.

  • There's a few dance moves here that need to be taken outta the basement, like the bass player's....but I still adore the song...

  • I remember the first time I heard Blue Jean. It was 1983 watching a video program in Japan. The Japanese loved David Bowe in the eighties.

  • Awesome song!! It's been 25 years since I heard it last. Seems like it's only been 5 minutes. David Bowie at his best as far as I'm concerned.

  • That blond on the front row is "hot"

  • The bass player is too sexy for Milan, New York and Japan.

  • WOW!

I've never seen this version of the video before. Still love the original video but the song is one of my favs either way.

  • he is sooo awsome

  • Bowie bleeds talent.

  • Love the sax player hitting on the woman while the band play.

  • The blonde woman in the first row wearing the light brown leather jacket is absolutely beautiful! Look for her! And this is a great song!

  • @oakchar

Don't you mean the one with the gray jacket?

She is a looker, though. I wonder what she looks like nowdays?

  • This is cool, but why on earth would they release anything but the brilliant original video ?

  • I love this song

  • David Bowie rocks!

  • the guy in the wife beater is JACKED lol

  • Who are the band members here? Aren't they the same as the Underground video?

  • Right Said Fred dude on bass

  • The guy on Bass wiggles a little to good,...If you know what i mean.?

  • The frontrow's girls are sooo Bananarama! hahaha...

  • hilarious observation! haha thanks!

  • That is a good bass! ((good)) ((nice)) feelin glad all over like a super nova! it's my birtday friday nove 14th 2008 hello there mr. bowie! what were you feeling when you wrote this tune'?!

  • OMG I cant believe the lame MTV/US version. How non Bowie...Such a shame.

  • I have to admit, I did love Screaming Lord Byron's makeup.

  • god bless the duke!

  • some women get Layla and some get Blue Jean lol

  • He looks so good!!

  • is it wrong for me to get high in this song or is it just becauz of david bowie?!!

  • Harmless but unreal

  • David Robert Haywood Jones I'm only a thin white woman was thursday's child. But I know there's something in the wind. Let me fly away with you. Waiting so long, I've been waiting so long. Come to my waiting arms. Give me more than one caress, satisfy this hungriness. Share my life. Falling in love with me. How I wish you would. With your kiss my life begins.
  • Sons of the Glam

  • he is sooo awsome

  • Cool!! Featuring Richard Fairbrass from RIGHT SAID FRED on bass!!

  • great song.

  • Yea, agreed Morr. I remember the song being slower like this. Awesome!

  • I love this version so much better!! It is a bit slower than the other video's. This is how I rememeber this song. Oh I love it!

  • i could almost swear there is just a cd in the background

  • Incomparable, just truly one of a kind.

  • I dunno why I never liked Bowie's eighties songs

  • Weird I don't have this easter egg on my best of bowie DVDs? Maybe I missed this one? If you can let me know how did you find it?

  • Marry me Lord Byron or David!

  • A great song!!!

  • somebody-- somebody

  • sooo seexxyyy:)

  • Never seen this before.

Is that the Dancing in the Stree suit he's wearing? I'm not sure but it looks similar.

    He looks gorgeous, as always.

  • His body language is hypnotic. This guy is incredible.

  • Morning3jack just stop posting comments you don't know what anyone on here would do or say to someones face. Just stfu

  • thanks for sending this too me pagey29

Bowie is an amazing artist....I remember when his song "lets dance" knocked michael jacksons thriller out of the number 1 spot here in the states in the 80's and I was like thank God....peace

  • I luv this song..his coat look like an Indian blanket. nice hair! :)

  • I have to visit this video at least weekly cos otherwise I'll fade away!! He's doing that deep voice, oooooooooooooh swoon!!! OOOH I like the way he says faculty!! I'll go take my medication now!! hahaha!! so fabulous!!

  • oh oh oh ooh oh ooooh oh uh oh uh uh uh oh oh oooooooooooooooooooooooh. Sorry I had an orgasm.

  • I love this skinny white guy ; such talent. White man with so much soul.

  • Bowie at his worst still beats most of the pack into a cocked hat...

Came to this via Ladytron's 'Blue Jeans 2.0'. Check it out to hear some superb radical electronic rock, the kind pioneered by this man in the 70s.

  • I hadn't seen this since college! My gosh - thanks for posting ;-D

  • A great video!!!!

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... SEXY!!

  • he is miming

  • well done lol

  • amazing i was in this vid this is the first time ive seen it 23 years on thanx for posting it. the drummer is andy rigdleys bother paul of wham fame

  • pete doherty aint as beautiful or as talented as david bowie, and never will be, bowie is a god.

  • hey,where the black people @? : - )

  • I always thought this WAS the video for "Blue Jean"

Now that I see the other version I still think this one is the best. Love the sax player stopping his hitting on the female audience member long enough to lay his track down!

  • LOL. I also love how much the bassist at stage right is getinng into it. This version is better than the 'genie' version.

  • I love the sax player as well, he's my best mate. I hate to spoil your fun but he cant play a note he was miming as was the rest of them. I was in this video dancing at the front. Im a bit older now!

  • interesting the orginal blue one is better but this is more natural lord byron indeed lol

  • agree

  • dfs

  • cool never seen this before
