I absolutely love the F2000. I actually had a chance to fire this gun in real life (the semi-auto only version) and it jammed 3 times in the space of half an hour (the forward ejection slot is a piece of shit). In battlefield though, it's great. I'm a fan off the M26 MASS as well, and I don't want to be a twat by saying you can't actually have it underslung your rifle because of the bullpup design, but the switching time isn't that bad so i guess it doesnt matter.
@CccpReznov Wow dude, I can understand the Famas which last time I checked was 900, not 1000, but still it's overpowered as hell. Just like the USAS and MK3. But the F2000? it's 850, while the others are about 700-800, so another 50 doesn't make THAT much of a difference. It's not like the Famas which insta-kills you at close range. The F2000 is definitely good but not OP. So you don't have any reason to rage on it.

@SHOCCTROOP I won't argue that. There's a noticeable lag in aiming on BF3, and unfortunately, I think it's a PS3 only issue, but it also has to do with what TV you use. I know they're working on fixing it though, and once they do, MW3 won't have shit on BF3!
You are right,and they dont even need to sample mw3 all they need to do is look at badcompany2,the aiming was exellent on it,and the weapon recoil was perfect,they ruined it on bf3,the recoil is so damn high on Bf3 that you would think the weapons should be way more powerfull,if the weapons are gonna buck that hard the bullets should be tear assing out of those guns with some major stopping power,the weapon damage on badcompany was far more realistic.
@SHOCCTROOP Thats one thing i first noticed when i started playing that the recoil was so high, but after awhile i just got use to it. At one point it was sorta fun to learn the different recoil patterns of the guns and learn how to compensate for it
@SHOCCTROOP well how i do it is at medium range i aim at the chest and as soon as i fire i hold down on the right stick slightly so the spread remains where i want it. And at long range i burst fire. and if you aim at the feet, they will more likely than not win the gun fight at short range and at medium range your gonna take more shots than necessary, and at long range i highly doubt you kill them.
Its a great gun no joke, but being a victim of the ages when almost everyone used it i just cant use it, its got bad history because of that phase (in my opinion). But ever since the Famas i think it doesn't bother me anymore. its pretty much a personal thing...

I agree with your review, performance wise its a 5/5 but compared to the other assault rifles in its RoF class (AEK, FAMAS) it's reload speed is retarded fast. However, I understand DICE has got to put out some easy to use guns for players that are less skilled to be competitive so I can't really complain too much about this gun... at least its not a USAS/extended/frag... thank god they are nerfing that soon
The AEK-971 only has a fire rate of 750 compared to the f2000 which has 850 so check your stats first. I will agree its recoil is less than the f2000 and the famas
Actually, the AEK-971 almost completely outclasses the F2000. It has a higher rate of fire, and it's more accurate. Along with the FAMAS, the F2000 has the worst accuracy within the assault class when aiming down your sights while still. It's still a great gun, but it's not nearly as overpowered as people seem to think it is.
@BattlefiendHrush FAMAS has fantastic accuracy with its first few shots, so anybody burst firing the FAMAS is going to beat someone using an AEK every single time. There is only one downside to the FAMAS, and that's it's massive reload time
@SHuSTYBANG From what I understand from game files and other people that look at them, Suppressor causes no damage drop off, but significantly decreases effective range (as in how far the bullet flies before disappearing), bullet drop and bullet speed but doesn't affect damage. No one is sure exactly how much the drop of muzzle velocity is affected by the suppressor though. I may be wrong, but I am 99% sure that damage is unaffected.
@xSuiizide I do believe you're right. From what I just found, most people say the same that you do, but some still say that it does effect damage. Maybe they, like myself, got confused on it. We'll remember that for next time.
@SHuSTYBANG I think everyone assumes it affects damage because that is usually the case in FPS games *cough* Money Wasted 3 *cough*. The only attachment in BF3 that affects damage is the different shotgun ammunition. The HBar does pretty much the opposite of the Supp. Good review anyways, I liked it. @sniperkat313 Some testing my friends hve done has confirmed that I was wrong. Assault Rigfles and LMGs get a 15% minimum damage reduction but no other gun is affected.
@SHuSTYBANG in reality, for a suppressed gun to be truly suppressed it would have to fire subsonic ammunition(EXTREMELY slow bullets),this would stop the bullet from creating a sonic boom. meaning even the largest of conventional rounds(such as a 7.62x51)would be near useless against even the shittiest of body armor. i wish DICE had made suppressed guns have lower damage, but what are you gunna do i guess :/

they decrease bullet velocity, the increase bullet drop, they reduce damage at longer ranges, they decrease hip fire accuracy... not showing up on the radar doesn't come close to compensating all these disadvantages.
@Ksharp1fan I disagree. If you play very aggressive like myself and work mean flanks, having a suppressor to not show up on radar is a HUGE advantage.
@Rumskas If that was the case, the Assault rifles (for example) with higher bullet speed would do more damage. They don't. Damage in this game is based upon the round fired, not the speed of the bullet. Suppressors don't affect that.
@xSuiizide To clarify, suppressors do not affect the damage as such, they increase the gradient of damage drop off over range, therefore using a suppressor means that a weapon will deal minimum damage at a shorter range..
@xSuiizide It's related to the decreased bullet speed. If suppressing a sniper, the decreased bullet velocity causes bullets to suffer increased bullet drop due to gravity over range, but this is almost un-noticeable on other conventional weapons. The main negative affect for other guns is the damage drop off. (although this is fairly minimal, about 5 metres or so I think)
Personally, I kinda wish the F2000 wasn't as good as it is. I tend to base my weapon choice off the way the thing looks rather than it's actual performance, or how it behaves in real life. And I also don't like to be using what everyone else is using.
But I guess I'll use it until I can get around to getting off my lazy ass and unlocking the G3 Battle Rifle.

@chapel976 Neither, I think they're both in the same league. Maybe the F2000 gets the slight winning edge because it has less recoil, so it's easier to get more shots on target. Aside from the time it took to unlock attachments for these guns, and get a good feel of how they play to give an accurate review of how I feel about them, I'll NEVER use them again, they're noob weapons.
@SHuSTYBANG what qualifies them as noob weapons? their TTK? I use the SCAR-H pretty much exclusively and that has a VERY high TTK. One of the worst TTKs in the game. (you can find my stats on battlelog. same name as this). I'm not a hardcore, play everyday guy, so I haven't got a loaded battlelog, but I do like the effectiveness of the FAMAS. I notice most Assault people still stick with the AEK-971 though. At least that's what people are killing me with...

Proud to say that I don't have a single kill with this weapon. Enjoyed using it in MW2 because it was crap and it was a challenge, but in this game, I can tell it's a noob gun w/o even trying it. There have to be some guns more powerful than others though, IMO. Some people need that crutch to help them play at a respectable level, and that's fine with me. It's the FAMAS/F2000 people who are at the top of the leaderboard with 30 kills and 5 deaths that I think is a little ridiculous.
@sschmalz1 I agree with you, they're guns for noobs. There will always be guns that are more powerful than others, you're right again, but they need to make that list of "most powerful" a lot bigger. It's a pain in the tits when it's just 2-3 guns that are the OP bitch guns of a game. If there's 10 that are the same, there won't be one that really stands out as a true OP weapon.
@SHuSTYBANG Yeah, I'm just annoyed by the people who are already proficient at the game who keep using those guns. I actually messaged a kid the other day who absolutely destroyed my team using a FAMAS with flashlight. I told him that he was too good to use an OP gun w/ an OP attachment. He responded, "oh, okay, thanks." So, I think there are a lot of people who just don't realize that you can still be a try-hard w/o making an ass out of yourself.

For example, I had a blast playing three close games of ping pong with a buddy last night. Should it have been more fun if I beat him 21-3 every game? Maybe for some people it would have been more fun to see their buddy knocking everything over the table, but I don't get it.

The FAMAS is great up close, but the long reload times outweigh the rate of fire. You can consistently get caught with your pants down because your clip is empty.
@chapel976 I probably have 5 deaths all-time from the UMP and I think the SCAR's small mag automatically takes it out of that equation. IMO, you're not coming off as a "noob" to anyone.
I can only speak from my experiences. My experience tells me that when 50% of my deaths come from the same 3 or 4 guns, those guns are probably OP. Not to mention, when I insta-die, it's a pretty good indication that the gun is OP.
@sschmalz1 I'll tell you, most of my deaths have come at the hands of an AEK-971. I've never even tried the thing (I don't really like AK-style weapons for whatever stupid reason). For a time I was seeing a LOT of death as a result of USAS-Frags... but that's become much less. Suffice to say, I love the SCAR-H. it deals a lot of damage and if you do 2 shot bursts over and over at high-center mass, you frequently land headshots on the 2nd shot from recoil.
@sschmalz1 I agree with you. You earned 2000 man-points. Man-points can be spent to make people do manly things like help move your furniture or make you the host of the next NFL Sunday man-out
@Eskeletikoo They're on the list. Our goal is to cover every single gun in BF3. And we're going to bounce around, from an AR, to an SMG, to a carbine, to a pistol, to a shotgun, to a lmg, etc etc. Not in that particular order, but you get the idea. We're trying to avoid doing the same style gun twice in a row. But we do have the footage recorded for our first pistol review!
as for the gun, im yet to unlock it. even though it may be as good as you guys say, i wont be using it when i unlock it. as stupid as this sounds, i will only play with a gun that looks good and performs just as well. for me the F2000 looks like sweaty balls so ill stay away from it. but on the other hand, that shotgun attachment looks beastly. if that only comes on the F2000, guess ill have to play with it till its unlocked.
@dirtyleppa the M26 MASS is a general Assault kit unlock, regardless of your primary. It is actually better not to be used with the F2000 IMO, because the M26 can be attached to your gun with the Underslung rail, like the grenade launcher. This allows for faster switching. However, the F2000 does not have the underslung rail.
Just imo, Famas and F2000 are Scrub weapons. Just my thoughts, especially Famas. That gun is for scrubs and it VERY op. If you die by an assualt class, your likely to die by: Famas and F2000, die by Engineer, likely to die by: G36 and SCAR-H, Death by Support, M249... just M249, by a sniper, SKS or SV98. Theese are the weapons a majority of people use.
@godaisgod HAHA. usas frag? Haha. You have not yet felt what "Overpowered" is. I use this weapon as a last resort when I get fed up with campers. Be a Support Class, slap on the Suppression Perk/Specilization. Now time for the truth, you think Usas with frag was bad? MK3A1 with extended mags AND frag is truly OP. I use it as last resports, since the MK3A1 is Automatic... its just point and instant death.
@longsolid9 I've seen the damage that ASAS and other shottys with Frag rounds can do...and the fucking ridiculous range is----...nevermind, I'll save it for when it comes time to review that particular gun.......
@godaisgod Trust me, your going to Rage. I think I'm one of the few people to use it, I know know this because you'll start being killed by enemies with shotguns that arents the MK3A1. You know that pattern, when you kill people with shotguns, they get mad, then they use shotguns
Best assault weapon IMHO, I tried liking the famas, but f2000 is just feels more "predictable" (hard to explain, you'll know the feeling when you get it and use it) as always thumbs up to you guys!
@sammew123 as is my understanding, gun makers don't have exclusive contracts with video games numbnuts. the f2000 was in bad company 2, bad company 1 AND battlefield 2 as well.

@SHuSTYBANG I think everyone assumes it affects damage because that is usually the case in FPS games *cough* Money Wasted 3 *cough*. The only attachment in BF3 that affects damage is the different shotgun ammunition. The HBar does pretty much the opposite of the Supp. Good review anyways, I liked it. @sniperkat313 Some testing my friends hve done has confirmed that I was wrong. Assault Rigfles and LMGs get a 15% minimum damage reduction but no other gun is affected.

@SHuSTYBANG in reality, for a suppressed gun to be truly suppressed it would have to fire subsonic ammunition(EXTREMELY slow bullets),this would stop the bullet from creating a sonic boom. meaning even the largest of conventional rounds(such as a 7.62x51)would be near useless against even the shittiest of body armor. i wish DICE had made suppressed guns have lower damage, but what are you gunna do i guess :/

it does decrease damage at medium to long range...
suppressors are just useless and overused by cod converts.
they decrease bullet velocity, the increase bullet drop, they reduce damage at longer ranges, they decrease hip fire accuracy... not showing up on the radar doesn't come close to compensating all these disadvantages.

@Rumskas If that was the case, the Assault rifles (for example) with higher bullet speed would do more damage. They don't. Damage in this game is based upon the round fired, not the speed of the bullet. Suppressors don't affect that.

@xSuiizide To clarify, suppressors do not affect the damage as such, they increase the gradient of damage drop off over range, therefore using a suppressor means that a weapon will deal minimum damage at a shorter range..

@xSuiizide It's related to the decreased bullet speed. If suppressing a sniper, the decreased bullet velocity causes bullets to suffer increased bullet drop due to gravity over range, but this is almost un-noticeable on other conventional weapons. The main negative affect for other guns is the damage drop off. (although this is fairly minimal, about 5 metres or so I think)

Personally, I kinda wish the F2000 wasn't as good as it is. I tend to base my weapon choice off the way the thing looks rather than it's actual performance, or how it behaves in real life. And I also don't like to be using what everyone else is using.
But I guess I'll use it until I can get around to getting off my lazy ass and unlocking the G3 Battle Rifle.

I know that once their in the game it's fair, but EVERY death that I have is by either these two weapons. People just arn't creative in their weapon choices any more Dare I say it but they are noob weapons. I get killed with one bullet from the FAMAS, just and instant death. @chapel976 Neither, I think they're both in the same league. Maybe the F2000 gets the slight winning edge because it has less recoil, so it's easier to get more shots on target. Aside from the time it took to unlock attachments for these guns, and get a good feel of how they play to give an accurate review of how I feel about them, I'll NEVER use them again, they're noob weapons.

@SHuSTYBANG what qualifies them as noob weapons? their TTK? I use the SCAR-H pretty much exclusively and that has a VERY high TTK. One of the worst TTKs in the game. (you can find my stats on battlelog. same name as this). I'm not a hardcore, play everyday guy, so I haven't got a loaded battlelog, but I do like the effectiveness of the FAMAS. I notice most Assault people still stick with the AEK-971 though. At least that's what people are killing me with...

Proud to say that I don't have a single kill with this weapon. Enjoyed using it in MW2 because it was crap and it was a challenge, but in this game, I can tell it's a noob gun w/o even trying it. There have to be some guns more powerful than others though, IMO. Some people need that crutch to help them play at a respectable level, and that's fine with me. It's the FAMAS/F2000 people who are at the top of the leaderboard with 30 kills and 5 deaths that I think is a little ridiculous.

@sschmalz1 I agree with you, they're guns for noobs. There will always be guns that are more powerful than others, you're right again, but they need to make that list of "most powerful" a lot bigger. It's a pain in the tits when it's just 2-3 guns that are the OP bitch guns of a game. If there's 10 that are the same, there won't be one that really stands out as a true OP weapon.

I actually messaged a kid the other day who absolutely destroyed my team using a FAMAS with flashlight. I told him that he was too good to use an OP gun w/ an OP attachment. He responded, "oh, okay, thanks." So, I think there are a lot of people who just don't realize that you can still be a try-hard w/o making an ass out of yourself.

@YNOTtheTIGER Like I say, I think the "noob weapons" need to be in the game, and I've heard your argument regarding the (for lack of a better name) over-achievers. However, aren't games supposed to be challenging?
For example, I had a blast playing three close games of ping pong with a buddy last night. Should it have been more fun if I beat him 21-3 every game? Maybe for some people it would have been more fun to see their buddy knocking everything over the table, but I don't get it.

The FAMAS is great up close, but the long reload times outweigh the rate of fire. You can consistently get caught with your pants down because your clip is empty.

@chapel976 I probably have 5 deaths all-time from the UMP and I think the SCAR's small mag automatically takes it out of that equation. IMO, you're not coming off as a "noob" to anyone.
I can only speak from my experiences. My experience tells me that when 50% of my deaths come from the same 3 or 4 guns, those guns are probably OP. Not to mention, when I insta-die, it's a pretty good indication that the gun is OP.

@sschmalz1 I'll tell you, most of my deaths have come at the hands of an AEK-971. I've never even tried the thing (I don't really like AK-style weapons for whatever stupid reason). For a time I was seeing a LOT of death as a result of USAS-Frags... but that's become much less. Suffice to say, I love the SCAR-H. it deals a lot of damage and if you do 2 shot bursts over and over at high-center mass, you frequently land headshots on the 2nd shot from recoil.

And we're going to bounce around, from an AR, to an SMG, to a carbine, to a pistol, to a shotgun, to a lmg, etc etc. Not in that particular order, but you get the idea. We're trying to avoid doing the same style gun twice in a row. But we do have the footage recorded for our first pistol review!

as for the gun, im yet to unlock it. even though it may be as good as you guys say, i wont be using it when i unlock it. as stupid as this sounds, i will only play with a gun that looks good and performs just as well. for me the F2000 looks like sweaty balls so ill stay away from it. but on the other hand, that shotgun attachment looks beastly. if that only comes on the F2000, guess ill have to play with it till its unlocked.

@dirtyleppa the M26 MASS is a general Assault kit unlock, regardless of your primary. It is actually better not to be used with the F2000 IMO, because the M26 can be attached to your gun with the Underslung rail, like the grenade launcher. This allows for faster switching. However, the F2000 does not have the underslung rail.

Just imo, Famas and F2000 are Scrub weapons. Just my thoughts, especially Famas. That gun is for scrubs and it VERY op. If you die by an assualt class, your likely to die by: Famas and F2000, die by Engineer, likely to die by: G36 and SCAR-H, Death by Support, M249... just M249, by a sniper, SKS or SV98. Theese are the weapons a majority of people use.

@godaisgod HAHA. usas frag? Haha. You have not yet felt what "Overpowered" is. I use this weapon as a last resort when I get fed up with campers. Be a Support Class, slap on the Suppression Perk/Specilization. Now time for the truth, you think Usas with frag was bad? MK3A1 with extended mags AND frag is truly OP. I use it as last resports, since the MK3A1 is Automatic... its just point and instant death.
