  • Very nice demo! Thanks for posting!

  • I think they key to the Octo is to set the time really low to get a more usable sound.

  • Octo isn't a mode YOU would use alot.

  • @mikeyfatstrings Speaking of which, I've recently realized some of the cool things that can be done with the Cave setting as well, so yes you're right I probably wouldn't use Octo for steel but I'm broadening my mind with effects in general these days - especially with regard to 6-string electric.

  • @toocommercial yeah i play guitar, i use alot of reverb and delay. volume swells and stuff. so i can use the octo to really widen my sound.

  • I could listen to you play this all day, I wasn't really listening to the reverbs! I'd love to get started playing pedal steel.

  • @Custom2212 Thanks, man....I appreciate the compliment.

  • Awesome sounding Guitar! I need one!! ;)

  • The octo setting is the reason I'd buy this unit. It sounds like that U2 sound at the begining of With or Without You. I think you should experiment with it little. I got really excited when I saw you were using it with a pedal steal, but a little sadened when you almost dismissed it.

  • Outstanding,where's the mens room?

  • I really dig this

  • Man that is some great picking there, you'd sound good with any ol' verb. Are you on the SGF, or got a myspace page? Would like to hear you playing with a band. Are you using a pot pedal or LDR type?

  • Thanks, man! I am on the SGF and myspace as Chris LeDrew. There are a few tunes on the myspace page with me on steel. I use a passive Goodrich L120 now, but I do believe the pedal in that video is a L10K which is active. The '70 Twin holds most of the responsibility foe tone in this situation, though. :) Thanks for checking out the video!

  • great for george!! awesome man! nice picking, love the part from 3:57 onward! nice work.

  • Thanks, man....glad you like it!.

  • That one is a 2007, I believe.

  • What year is your Blackjack?

  • Great video! Love the sounds on that Jackson Blackjack. The tone is awesome!

  • nicely done!

what are you using to hold up the verbzilla? or does it just hover in magical awesomeness?

  • really cool dude, that was very entertaining to watch

  • nice video dude

  • that sounds amazing man...great job.....how much are pedel steels to buy...and where can you get them??

  • Informal Noodling :) Sounds AMAZING Great Video 5/5

  • amazing player.

  • oh man! you've got such a sweet tone, nice one. ...and the pedals nice too :)

  • thanks a million, man.....that means a lot.

  • Ha! Thanks, squirrelofdoom. The pedal steel is a laugh, especially when you've been playing regular guitar for years and want something new. You'll like the Verbzilla. It has a load of settings, as you can see.

  • Thanks, guys! It's great fun once you've been playing for a bit.

  • Man a like how you play this pedal steel guitar. You are so cool!

  • its kinda funny that you say that the octo setting isnt one you would use alot, however that seems to be what most people buy it for now a days. lol. The hardcore Edge fans like my self will only use the octo setting to get the edges shimmer echo sound.

  • Well, that's so cool that there's a use for it. In country -style stuff it's kind of left field. But I think it's great that octo has a use! :)

  • yeah its a really cool sound. The Edge obviously has better equipment but the verbzillla is the easiest and cheapest way to get that sound.

  • Excellent sound and great demo on the

verbzilla ! Very nice playing, my man.

  • thanks, guys!

  • Love the way you sound on that Blackjack, CL!

    -Tucker

  • Amazing playing dude, you are a gifted musician

  • Thank you very much.....that's a huge compliment. Pedal steel is a life-long learning process, and that's what makes it so special.

  • HEY!...you look just like Chris Ledrew!...anyone ever tell you that?....LOL...Mickey

  • Darn it! I thought the Sho~Bud hat disguised my identity! Ha! Great to hear from you, Mickey! See you in DFW!

  • love that hall reverb!

  • Great demo and great playing. Wonderful sound.

  • "That's a pretty authentic sounding room" :D

    Classic!

    Good playing, BTW

  • All the Line 6 stuff is excellent. They have the only good real tube/digital hybrid. If you like pedal steel guitars, you should also check out Robert Randalph (and the Family Band).

  • Excellent playing - I've always loved pedal steel. One of these days, I'm gonna try and pick that up. Any recommendations on a beginner model if I were to buy one? :)

  • Thanks for checking in! The Carter Starter seems like the best bet, if you are going beginner.

  • You're pretty good and you're kinda cute!!!LOL

  • cool cap

  • Thanks for the demo, Chris!

  • Hi Willy James,

It's a Verbzilla by Line 6. There is some information on their website about this and other pedals in their Tonecore series.

  • This Jackson PSG has a nice an full sounding guitar...Very impressive. Who makes this new device, and it's model model? Thanks....
