  • He was also quite older than Frankenstein. So you see, when people imagine the older, evil, mad scientist version of Frankenstein, they are actually recalling Pretorius. And when they imagine the younger, passionate, sympathetic Frankenstein, their recalling the original.

  • Professor Sanguinaire Polidori, or Polly Dolly as Frankenstein calls him, is based on Professor Septimus Pretorius, who is from the original 1935 sequel, Bride of Frankenstein. In a way, you are very correct in your comparison of him as a different version of Frankenstein. It was him who convinced the the Doctor to resume his experiments. While Doctor Frankenstein was originally considered sympathetic, Pretorius was completely amoral with no regard for life.

  • Just to interject here, but from what I've heard, Polidori was actually the author who wrote The Vampyre. He was a friend of Mary Shelley, and being in the real world, existed outside of the Frankenstein universe, but was added in by Dino.

  • why don't you talk about the fucking animators and set designers you fucking asshole god you're boring

  • a man. the egore steals the show
