This was one of Stryper's more complex drum riffs. Awesome work sir! If you ever get a chance, try and do First love. I always liked the drums on that song too.
I reloaded this to say, great use of basically two kits! it's like a "lefty" mixed with a "righty" kit! way to go! I envy your kit here. I play in an ambidextrous way myself but don't really have the kit for it. Keep rockin'
Dude! You won't be lonely! You dropped a stick and kept on rockin'! way to go! good titile 17 etc citation! I have to ask, gspot27? that has a sexy connotation but you are playing Christian songs? what's up? am I reading into it too much?
@JiGStudio he wrote a comment on one of his other videos about that... his first initial is G... thats all i remember at the moment, but it was not meant like that...
@JiGStudio Thanks! The name stands for g=Glen spot=location...it used to be a web site I had called The Glen Spot. The 27=my age at the time, so gspot27 became my email address.
Friggin awesome job! You've got mad skills, my man! And great job balancing out the sound so that both your drumming and the song track could be heard clearly!
AWESOME ! Great Job ! I used to be in a band about 20 yrs ago & our drummers dad was a preacher, so we practiced in the basement of the church. Needless to say there was alot of Stryper in the song list...
you are pretty good at the drums and you should put another song that you could play and i like the drum set you got what kind of drum set do you have
GOD BLESS YOU! You have amazing talent and drum technique. Rock on! Stryper has been a favorite band of mine since '83. Have loved them ever since. You definetly make me want to get back on the drum saddle again and slam those pig skins. AMAZING!
i hope you thank the lord for the most amazing talent you have bro. That was awesome. you should send this to stryper and tell robert to pack his bags
ok well very great job i like how you were able to do the rolls on the snare through out the verse and stuff but a few things please dont be upset me saying this but your high hat count at the start was way off also at the end you could have left off that extra part at the end there was a few other spots but i thought it was done very well overall
wow mang... that is so amazing... i am definitely impressed! But then again I know nothing of drumming... actually... but still... I can see your talent fer sure... wow... oh ya... very cool vid.... and hey who supplied you with all the equipment? cause that is an amazing set mang! Wow!
i`m a drummer too....i like your stuff....and robert sweet is a good hard rock influence, kip it up!!!i would like to see you pplay some crue or quiet riot stuff.
Stryper is one of the best hard rock heavy metal christian groups of ll time They rock all the musicians are great musicians I got stryper the black & yellow attack soliders under command to hell with the devil IN GOD WE TRUST 7 weeks in america and their latest one called reborn.
No problem. Different strokes for different folks. Styper was/is very influencial on me and my playing from when I was a kid in 1985 looking for something different to learn. They had the music and the positive message I needed and wanted. I still get nostalgic when I hear the twin guitar harmony solos like the one in this song.
I understand.. nevertheless, i really do appreciate what you're doing.. it's just very amusing.. sometimes i grab my bass guitar and play along with your drumming :)

Reach out has my favorite drumming on a Stryper song and you nailed it pretty well. The part that accompanies the guitar solo is impressive.
But my favorite part of the drumming is that bridge after "here we go" at 3:54, amazing.

love stryper, love your groovy drumming...what's not to love?
all for one...that's my favorite styper-song. if you're considering adding a new stryper/drum vid, all for one would be my choice.
how about a poll for the most requested stryper/gspot27 drum-vid?
take care!!=)
