Almost 2 years post-op Lap Band! Close to goal and LIFE events...!

hi i am simon from the uk,just 2 start u look gd u have done really well... i had my band in feb/11 /11 .ive been on it just over a year now my start weight was 351 lb (25,1 stone) and i am now 232 lb (16,7 stone)so i think i am doing well i am starting 2 find it boring now i seem 2 b losing interest,just asking if u was the same and what did u do 2 get refreshed again ..thx simon

I love that you describe it as a tool. That's what I view it as - I'm currently in the process of seeing if I qualify, and this is one of the tools that I hope to be able to utilize. What a journey you have had. You have done so amazing! Happy 2 year out Surgiversary!! Talking rules, I thought I would be so mindfull of the rules, but I must say just 4 weeks post-op I'm breaking many. Once I get some fills behind my belt I'm sure I will feel like I have a tool. As of now...I feel like I had no surgery done thus far. I did great post-op 63lbs down, pre-op is not so easy. I got half way to my goal post-op thank goodness I made good out of the 1 1/2yr wait I had. Your beautiful!

Your story is so inspiring my surgery is set for May 2012 my insurance would not pay for it so I am paying out of pocket.. I am so excited for my new life to begin and for once feel comfortable in my body. I have been planing a trip to Europe for almost a year now and I am set to go in Nov 2012 I pray I can hit my goal weight of 150 by than and not only experience a new world but a new me as well...Congrats on all the good things that are come to you in your new life!

Your story reminds me of my first 5k I ever ran. Over 2000 people ran the race. Right before it was about to start, I look over and my gastric bypass surgeon is standing next to me!! Talk about crazy full circle, the man who saved my life and made it all possible randomly standing right there! LOVE those moments!!
