I'm sorry but I think he's a terrible singer. He's a good writer, but he sucks at singing. I just don't like his vocal style or his range, and if you've ever seen them live he's constantly struggling to get the right pitch. Okay....Answer me one question -- how come he is off key...pretty much all the time in 90% of the live footage of LC with him (even the acoustic small stage shit). If he can't sing the right notes, he should use live pitch correction...that's all I'm saying. Then we wouldn't have to hear the flats \ sharps \ misses all the time. When you're a producer and singer yourself, you notice stuff like that, and it really pisses you off :)

Also if I had the time and wanted to be a super douche (lol), I'd take one of their album tracks and strip everything but his vocals and do the same to a live track from youtube, then do a pitch for pitch compare on every note ..that way you could actually *see* how much of the time he's off...no one's perfect obviously but I'd say a really good singer like cristina would be off maybe 5 to 10% of the time. Andrea would probably be 40-50%...

@surgeyX It really doesn't matter what band you compare if you compare live youtube footage to a studio record, I've never heard a song live that sounded the same as a studio production mainly because studio produced albums are cleaned up of all imperfections. and as far as their live footage goes, you can't expect some guy in the pit using the cameras default microphone will pick up good audio. especially when it's picking up feedback from the amps.

@rancerpigy They keep him around for loyalty reasons i'd say, but yes, as their music gets more 'professional', his amateurish vocals become even more noticeable.

The band are good songwriters though, and that's partially the reason they took off. Remember that, Christina's looks aside, it actually took them a few albums to build momentum. Christina was always good looking, but the band were not always popular.

She is a star though, and the guys look like hangers on in comparison.
