Here's a thought...

How cool would it be, if you could build and manage your own castle or village in this game, just like in Stronghold(with the same number of buildings and options) and defend it against bandits and enemy Lord's armies. Basically it would be like mount&stronghold combined, with a little more refined gameplay(or campaigns) and slightly better graphics(or not...doesn't matter). It would probably be the best medieval/castle sim game ever created...

its waaay different from the elder scrolls.

it's focused on mounted combat, castle sieges, and diplomacy, there's no magic at all and no real storyline or quests. Combat is also much different and much more difficult, but it's hard to see that without playing it yourself.

Wicked game.. kind of game where you play gives loads of fun, get bored of it then do it over again, in other words this game is worth every cent. It's a never ending cycle and that's even before you hit multiplayer. I'm about to start playing it again for the 5th or 6th time and i have no doubt it will be as enjoyable as the first time.

regular m&b lets you have a max battle size of 150, so it's not the games problem if you're trying to get 300 people up one ladder, it's your mods.

Ocarina of Time had amazing graphics at the time of its release. To say that it looks bad now is a moot point, as it was released over twelve years ago. Also, I know what the style, artistic direction, or whatever you want to call it is, but the graphics are still an important component. The style of Ocarina of Time would not have worked so well if the game was made up of pixelated blobs.

@clintdelicious you can give orders to your army, you don't need to just rush and smash every battle, by pressing F1 F2 F3 etc ... you can command them, but yeah you dont have a to many varieties

I have spent countless hours playing this, a simply brillant game.

I wish they would get the funding to make an optimized engine taking advantage of all the modern tech that could support battles with thousands of soldiers in them and of course better graphics with some particle effects and gore, that would make this one of the greatest games ever.

There are mods that let you set the battles as large as you want but the engine just cant handle that and causes lag even on high end machines.

Anyone considering this game, keep in mind, this is a sandbox play type game in the strictest definition of the term. There is no storyline or plot in this game whatsoever.

You literally run around and do whatever. It is not in depth when it comes to speaking to NPC's, in fact it's way too basic. The missions are over-simplified, and get old quick as they are the same missions over and over.

Their are two primary sources of fun. The way combat was designed is very excellent . . .

The combat, as you can see, is put together to almost give you a virtual feeling of being there. You can ride on horseback to give yourself that extra boost in striking power and it makes you harder to hit. Those last second horseback arrow shots can be very exciting sometimes.

The long term goals are also way too overly simplistic, but they take a lot of time to accomplish and they give you a goal to accomplish, which helps keep the game worthwhile even after you've had your fill.
