radio israel never demonize the shah. bbc did because for 40 years bbc is run by the communists.

How did the revolution happen? Radio BBC and Radio Israel demenized the Shah, although the neighbouring countries had much lower democracy.

The plan was to reduce the power of Iran, then seperating Khouzetan and Kurdistan from Iran. Iraq invassion was a part of the plan.

Because they beleive Iran is too strong and too big for the regeon.

@miras001 That's a copout...you are avoiding responsibility for your own country's situation.

The fact of the matter is that many Iranians wanted the Shah to leave iran. View these images of people tearing up pictures of the Shah...see with your own eyes and stop blaming foreigners like the Israelis or the BBC.

Your society was fractured. Some Iranians liked the Shah and his attempts to modernize and westernize Iran..but many Iranians did not like the Shah's reforms.

@miras001 Why didn't the Shah's national Guard protect him? Why did they become friendly with the street protesters.

It's the same thing that happened in Russia in 1917. The Czar told his army to fire on the people who were rioting for bread but his army instead joined the protesters.

You need to learn from history and stop blaming other people or other countries for your internal divisions. The Russians for years criticized the west for sending the "whites" to fight the commies.

@miras001 Now many Russians have done a complete about face..and they blame the west for abandoning the Czar.

You see that kind of typical "cop out" behavior in 3rd world countries. They never want to take responsibility for their own problems but rather they like to blame it on some foreign influence

You Iranians dumped the Shah...you did not fight for the Shah...you abandoned the Shah because you naively thought that Khomeini would give you free and open elections...how naive can you be?
