Anyone who didn't like Steve has no soul. If I ever have kids, he's the guy I'll be telling them about. He was my hero from the time I was seven years old, and always will be.
I was researching the Inland Taipan for a school project and I saw Steve's video on when he was handling it in his film. I had the sudden realisation that I would never hear his voice ever again. I almost came to tears...R.I.P. Steve
I love Steve Irwin! When he died I cried for four days, he was my childhood hero. What a leader! He should be an inspiration for us all, just like he is for me. </3 That man was such a role model for me. God bless you, and your wonderful family, Steve Irwin. <3
The reason it wasn't in the movie is because he was supposed to be in it the whole way through, but this is the only scene they fully took of steves voice, he died during the movie was being made.
@chazere2k8poo They used Steve's voice as one of the Elephant Seals. I, too, cried when he passed. His father said don't feel sorry for us, feel sorry for the animals. They have lost a champion. (paraphrased)
@MsChocolateisYUMMY, I believe they cut this scene out pretty early on, probably for time; it wasn't even completed. Then the movie came out only two months after Steve died... not even time for them to finish this scene. But they put it on the DVD, which I think is incredibly awesome of them!
Plus, if it had been on the movie, I would've been sobbing in a public movie theater. I'm glad I first saw this at home, so I could bawl without people looking at me.
Ummm, Terri said in an interview and to the media that all known footage has been destroyed, theres no video of it and they never showed it on television mr.bullshit
@TheShortSide I never actually saw him die, but two weeks after it, I dreamt about it...I actually SAW his death, through Steve's point of view...I'm kinda scared of stingrays now...
Seven people who disliked are very disrespectful to a hero who is dead. He was a wonderful person. And tomorrow will be the 6 year anniversary of his death...and I'm about in tears from watching this. I hope that he is well remembered.
Man I miss him, which is wierd since i don't know him. But he was a huge part of my life growing up and it was such an honor to meet him briefly (kind of). He rode past me on his bike at the zoo and i yelled "Hey Steve" and he turned around and waved at me. At least I got to do that before he died at least
i think they cut this because they thought it would come off as too strongly conservationist. granted, the whole movie was pro-conservationist, but you must admit this scene sounds rather preachy to someone against conservation. i personally have a friend who was forbidden from watching this movie in 7th grade because of "environmental propaganda."
it sucks, i know. but i'd rather watch this scene on my own time than have the whole movie banned with it.
"If there's one thing I would want to be remembered for, it's passion and enthusiasm. Conservation is my job, my life, my whole being." Steve Irwin, 1962-September 4, 2006
He was an elephant seal in the movie but they cut this scene and used his voice as one of the elephant seals mumble, lovelace and their friends met before mumble jumped off the cliff to find the humans
man it sucks seen such a great man die. one thing that is true he is one of very few men that died doing what they loved to do. many people would not know what some animals are or what they do if it was not for him. I grew up watching the Croc Hunter and i could not believe he is gone now R.I.P Steve best wishes to your family
agreed, loving the animals and the enviroment is one thing i shared with this man i;ve never met, but when i was little, he really inspired me, and thats why i decided to become a vet.
RIP Steve, without even realizing it, you've inspired the lives of many around the world <3
It's been five years and I still can't believe Steve Irwin is gone. I used to watch The Crocodile Hunter on a regular basis when it was on the air, and it even gave me some food for thought regarding the environment--and I didn't even care much about our Earth at the time. I'm no Greenpeace or PETA person, but I learned quite a bit from Steve about thinking twice when it comes to preserving the natural environment. Wherever his soul is now, I hope it's in a good place. Peace out, Steve Irwin.
Can someone tell me why this was deleted? I understood that Steve REALLY wanted to have a part in this film and the part was written for him. It would be a tribute to him if the scene were in the movie.
@garymofoak it was replaced actually. Steve played an elephant seal, and had the same conversation as this one, so to not make us bored with the same talk happening twice they decided to cut this one out instead of the other one. They should have kept this one, and cut the other.
They should've kept this scene in - it adds considerable depth to Mumble's character, allows us to hear more of Steve Erwin's last role, enlarges the scope of the character's journey, all that stuff. Why it was removed, I don't understands.
@xS1D3xK1CKx ikr he was one hell of a conservationist one that got me to believe in my native side agian. hope his wife and daughter are alright and continue doing wat he did. wish the show would come back on
Steve Irwin actually voiced the charactar Trev the Elephant Seal in the actual movie, but I personally prefer this albatross, although I dont think they named him.
i remember in 3rd grade, when i told everyone i was going to marry him one day<3 i cried so hard when i found out he died, RIP<3 god bless his soul and his legacy<3
Aww I nearly cried...a beautiful scene that fit steve really well...he certainly lived life to the fullest....RIP we will miss you...but what a legacy you left behind!
I miss this guy so much, he gave me great joy in watching him and his family. I watch this from time to time to feel his enthusiasm. I feel happy but feel sad that he is gone from us.. God Bless him and his family!!!
This was such a great scene. Not just because of Steve's part (god knows I bawled when I had learned he died and I still can barely believe he's gone), but because of the actual dialogue, which I never see really brought up in comments.
I feel so sad over his death. He will always be the greatest animal lover on earth, and I just feel so sad for his kids, poor little bob will barely remember him. At least he'll have his dad's legacy forever. Steve Irwin you will ALWAYS be missed. R.I.P stevo crikey you were one good guy . :( :( :( :(
I wish they could have put this scene in the movie, but i understand why they didn't. They already made the movie, but cut this scene from the film. Rest in peace Steve, your work continues to show us the wonder in all forms of life. And your little girl is doing her bit too, be proud of her, we are. We miss you. Protect the beauties up there too so that they aren't all lost and gone forever.

Rest in peace Steve, your work continues to show us the wonder in all forms of life. And your little girl is doing her bit too, be proud of her, we are. We miss you. Protect the beauties up there too so that they aren't all lost and gone forever.
