The only way this will happen is if whatever kills the people dose not kill the animals. However whatever ends up killing the people will most likely kill the animals too. If this happens then only a small number of animals will be able to repopulate the earth. Who knows what they could be. Sea turtles for all we know or maybe even rats and cockroaches.
