I had a feeling he could solo. When they perform as a trio it is for the audience and not all about them, they were tight and each one filled his harmonic and rhythmic range with taste. It is a teat to see this post and get a glimpse of the his extended range.
We tried to get him to play some solo during a workshop at Djangofest northwest 2008 (which is where this video is also from (but this isn't the workshop)), but Nous'che refused to do it after thinking about it for a bit. A very humble guy. I couldn't believe they were such a humble bunch of guys when they have such enormous talent. I'm even a bigger fan of them now than I was before meeting them (and I was already a huge fan)!!

I saw and heard Nousche play nice solo's about 30 years ago. Those were the days! Great memories!

its on youtube. they're all outside in a circle there's a white van with the back opened up and one violinist. it was at one of their festivals
