AWESOME feature, when it works.

I had problems with it at first, but I got a new router and it worked flawlessly. My router wasnt letting it sync because of firewall issues and I got a free replacement (different model) from my ISP.

Problem solved! Once I charged my phone it synced with NO power source. Battery must be charged above a certain %. All those people bitching at others and calling them names for not being able to follow directions suck! No where online or on YouTube did I find this little tidbit of info.

Settings correct, software up to date, and it still insists on power source. Don't know why it worked wirelessly for you, many others share the same problem.

I can't believe how hard this is to use. One of the features I don't really appreciate. It's much easier to plug it into the computer and do it the old fashioned way. Besides, how is it freeing you up if it still has to be plugged in to work? It's pretty pointless. Not to mention, Wi-Fi Sync takes a lot longer than USB...

I clicked the box and everything when my iPod was connected but when I disconnected it and tried to sync wirelessly it just says I can sync when I have power and I'm plugged into the comp.

Uhm... To be able to use this feature, you have to: Open iTunes, then plug iPhone to AC adapter, hit sync.. FUCK OFF!

There has to be something more. iTunes help says that after enabling wifi synch in iTunes the iDevice may be ejected but will still appear as a device. That isn't the case for me and when I try to initiate synch from my iPod it never finds my laptop whether or not iTunes is running. Another good idea bites the dust.

PC or Mac??? Ditto the experience of june1321 for both my iPhone 4 and iPad.w/ iTunes WIN7 never shows the device when trying to sync WiFi. Checked the Port settings in Norton Firewall; ade sure the port per an Apple FAQ are set. In my router setting my devices are part of my network. SYNC NOW button is dead. I have never seen it available and all my syncs have been with USB when trying to set and reset the Sync over WIFI option. It has been so for the 30 or more times I have tried.

this feature is very temperamental ive gotten it to work by closing itunes then reopening it, try closing itunes, on the device turn off wifi then open itunes and turn on wifi on the device, ive noticed that after you do get it working if you plug the device in to the computer it will reset it from wifi sync even though the option remains checked

I think it's pretty lame that iOS 5 doesn't support the 2nd Generation iPod Touch. Apple move way to quickly, and they were still selling the 2nd generation models in 2010! It's such a rip to spend so much money on a product that is pretty much useless and update-less within less than a year.

@zachf914 actually it's not.... This is better, easier and quicker. Oh and you can do whatever you want while its syncing and as long as they (computer and iDevice) are on the same WiFi network, you're always connected.
