Hello there I would love to run with you. I live in Los Angeles/San Gabriel Valley. I usually go to Mt Baldy on the weekends and run the Ice House Trail. Let me know if you dont mind me tagging along.
just the fact that tim has gotten this far is a huge testament to the raw diet and the human will, if he makes it to the olympics that will be huge and super bad ass/ GO TIM!!!
Albuquerque NM starts at 5,2xxft, sandia peak just a few miles away is over 10,000.
Santa Fe, NM is at 7,000ft, Tesuque Peak(with a legit road to the top) is at 12,011ft. Don't try and compare Los Angeles to somewhere where you can altitude train. n00bs

Ug, how exhausting. I volunteer in trail building, maintenance, and what not, hauling, breaking apart boulders, and doing a lot of hot sweaty volunteer work as a forest volunteer, and there are times when I can barely scrape a trail four or five times at altitude without having to rest for a couple of minutes inbetweet each swipe. }:-}

Ryan Hall grew up and trained in the San Bernardino Mountains in Big Bear. I'm sure he took trips there but yeah he definitely did not grow up there.
