Super C (NES) is actually pretty easy if you were good in Contra (NES). But man, the Super Contra (Arcade) is next to impossible to beat with just one credit. It might not seem so by just watching a video of it but when you actually try the game you will realize how difficult it is.

@HRVDNT Super Contra is a great arcade game, but not as great as the NES version, Super C. The NES version is a bit more forgiving in difficulty and it has more levels than the arcade.

I have actually beaten the game, and the funny part is? shooting that quickly is impossible without a turbo controller. Why is it when some one doesn't blindly dick ride someone like the rest of the sheep or expresses doubt upon heaps of acclaim is he "hating"? Couldn't we just be the only ones who can see the truth?

yea, i can do what EntaDaStage was talking about too. just put your finger againt the button and tense your arm, and itll sorta shake. if you do it right, you can hit it 10-12 times per second or more, like me =]

Yeah uh I recently reviewed the video and I dunno how I thought that was actually turbo. I must have had one of those...oh hell at the time my brain misinterpreted it as turbo.

The real tragedy is that I knew even before watching it the first time how to shoot fast, had never lost the ability to do so, yet somehow still saw it as "turbo". Sorry fellas, what can I say: I have crap eyesight and judgment.

has anyone noticed that the Aliens from contra 1 and sua contra. Look alot like the aliens from the movie ALIEN. Even the alien spawn is in this game. Dam face suckers.

@manbearpig900 Yes, I do noticed it. Some of them also resembles facehuggers and chestbursters. Also, hear their hiss! In Contra 3, you can find aliens that resembles Xenos too.

i played this game before.

It is almost impossibly difficult. Sometimes it is unfair, like the top down portions of the game your bullets dont go nearly as far as the enemy bullets.

..Furthest I've ever seen anyone get in the game. Is this really the "final" boss? I've beaten the NES version countless times, the levels/bosses are all mixed up between the two. Definitely my 2nd fav. arcade game of all time (next to Double Dragon)! Good playing, I couldn't get past the jungle!

Toneman, despite the fact that the game was over at the hands of the final boss, I think that is a pretty AWESOME play overall, in my honest opinion!!! ^-^=b ! I saw once or so that successfully defeating the final boss gets you a *whopping* 10,000,000 points.... no kidding!!

So with that said, man, I wish you true success on really beating the game!!! ;)

While I knew that Contra on the NES was based on an arcade game, I never knew that Super C was also adapted from an arcade version -- I always thought it was a straight sequel to the NES game. Good work!
