Take things for what they're worth. DB was made for a family-range audience and not to be a teen drama. You have you judge DB's quality within its viewing category and not against completely unrelated programs.

As for the video: Excellent timing! I thought the clips might be too random at first, but I've changed my mind. Five stars and favorite'd.
