rom 8:9 says that without the spirit you're none of his. so yes you do have to have the spirit to be saved. people don't understand that there is the gift of tongues and the baptism of the holy ghost. these are separate and have different uses and times for them. if its all the same then the bible contradicts itself and we know that cannot happen. watch brothaminister's video's. he breaks it down very well.

check this out, if i don't speak in tongues and my wife does not only am i not saved but i also am unequally yoked together... what rank and foul twisted, misinterpretation of scripture. so not only am i not saved because of the tongues deal but now i am not of the flock, and i got some other yoke on me... well let God be true ans every man a liar.

first of all, if someone begans to speak in tongues there should be an interpretor. 2nd you do not need to speak in tongues in order to be saved. However, I believe that it was written for stories that happen in the 1600's...I'll explain that later on facebook in my note :D...anyway, you continue to do what is right for you.

speaking in tongue is a weapon of warfare. You don't have to speak in tongue to be saved but you must speak and pray in tongue to be spiritaully effective in the spirit. So if you consider yourself a warrior / soul winner, it's very necessary

1 Corinthians 14:7-20 explains what good is it if it's not understood. There should always be someone with the gift of interpreting or its just jibberish.

Theologians often confuse the baptism in the Holy Spirit with salvation. They often regard these two experiences as being the same. This confuses believers. They incorrectly assume that salvation is the same as the baptism in the Holy Spirit. The Bible does not teach this. The Bible clearly teaches that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from salvation and comes after a person is saved, although it can occur at the time of salvation.

ain't nobody gonna find u nothin like that in the word cause it's not in there... tounges is a spiritual gift, that not everybody necessarily has, it's somethin u can pray for, but it's not necessary for salvation.

Girl you guys are a mess! lol.. You ain't saved if you don't speak in tongues..is no where to be found in the bible. It is a spiritual gift, but not necessary for Salvation. I Corinthians 14. I wish people would stop this mess. Nobody can tell you if you are saved or not..only you truly know that.

Does your Pastor,support this teaching? If not, he should talk to this lady. She could drive people away. I f your pastor backs this up, imho you need to change churches. I enjoy my gift of speaking in tongues but would never condemn anyone who didn't.
