i hired the game. accidentally put the demo in the case

i owned it for a year, before being asked i'd forged a disk

got my demo back, no rental overcharge, cool video store clerk.

I loved this game, and still do! It was my first PS1 game. My son is now learning how to master it on the PS2 in his bedroom.

When you clear all the gates you get to go to the Cash Course, which is an indoor straight course with rows of $5 and $10 gates. You have a limited amount of time to go through (1:20).

I always hated that dumb chick. Worst presenter ever. What the hell is she wearing!? You can turn her off in the menu but she still appears when you go to the Cash Course.

god I used to love this game as a kid, one of the first games my parents got me when the psx came out and it looked really good for it's time, the animatinos were generally gluid and reactions to getting landed on or hitting the side of things was realistic. also the added affect of being able to kick or knock people down like road rash made it a lot of fun while playing it on extreme difficulty gave you aLOT of obstacles and easy gave u none. 2xtreme made it even better with people walking

I used to love this game back in the day. I only rented it when I first got my PlayStation back in summer 1996, but really enjoyed this title. The music sounds a lot like Rally Cross. I want Sony to make a new version of this along with Rally Cross and Jet Moto. Those were some of my favorite racing games for PlayStation. It would be nice if they did a series reboot like they did for Warhawk recently.

@intavent It's strange there's not more coverage of this one on YT tbh, while it can be a little rough around the edges in places it's a load of fun, especially if you play 2 player and punch you friend in the face as he tries to pass you inches from the finising line. =D

Game is brilliant I still have the cd but its a bit scratched so some tracks its a bit picky about lol, and yeah that woman is really annoying even when you come 1st she's having a go at something.

The lady usually gets switched off after about 1 track. :)

One of the best games i have ever played (2 players is really better).

An interesting thing is that the cd of the game is black on the reading side.

@ZentimeProductions Yep it's definitely much more fun in 2-player. :) I think all or at least most of the PS1 games have the black coating on the underside.

The commentator soon got turned off, not having her talk trash at me after every race, lol. :)

@craigsheree It's well worth picking up if you can find it for a reasonable amount. It hasn't aged as bad as I feared either due to how fun it is to play still. :)
