Jerry reed wrote this osng but it was sung by ed bruce, ya can tell thats not jerry reeds voice, i dont like this version though cuz it jumps and has the sound effects ... i have the prooper version of it
I'm aware of Jerry Reed's extensive affiliation with the Smokey and the Bandit films, but the song in question doesn't sound like it was done by him. Similar, maybe, but I don't think Jerry Reed did this one. If that song is on one of his records, maybe I'm wrong.
It is not an easy song to find- being featured only in Smokey and the Bandit 3, which did not get a good reception, there isn't a lot of information to be found on it.
i don't think jerry reed did any music for S&B 3. Bandit express was done by Lee Greenwood and i'm not sure who did this one but it doesn't sound like reed.
But in the third movie, at the end, Smokey was about to apprehend the Bandit up until his retirement came back to haunt him again. He didn't even want to retire at all. He stuck to the thing he's best at: hot pursuits.
i laughed hysterically through the first one, a lot during the second one, only about a dozen times in the last one.
