  • Interessant das es auch in Deutschland und Schwaben Mazurka getanzt wird!

  • The mazurka (like the landler) hearkens back to an early rite among Hyperborean peoples: a round dance celebrating the movement of the stars and planets in the Milky Galaxy and galaxies elsewhere both in out DERN Universe and in our sister DAL Universe. A symphony of the Cosmic Creation.

The merry singing, the handclasping, the concentric circles, and the aprons were part of this. What is missing, is: a veil (a Russian babushka).

  • Wie alt ist dieses Lied und Tanz? Wissen Sie? (:-)

  • I do it in English for our little Mike:

Mazurka (from Polish/German landscape Masuren) is a well known dance music since 1345. Very populare since King August II. of Saxonia (the strong) , ca. 1720... And then a big "renaissance" since 1840 again in all German countries and others in Europe , till 1910 ca.

This is probably from this third Mazurka era between 1840 and 1910.

The lower bavarian Mazurka is nearly the same. Nati and me can dance it in Bavaria without problems...hahaha

  • THANKS A LOT PETE!!!! (=D You're the "MEISTER! von TANZ und LIED!" (;-D
