  • Nice one Russ,, that ukes sick man,,

  • thanks for watching, mate!

  • Russ, you should try tuning the top neck to an open tuning (open G, or gdgc, or something) and using it as a drone - strumming across both sets of strings at once. Probably wouldn't work, but it's gotta be worth a try!

  • interesting idea, i'll give it a try sometime and let you know how it goes.

  • Ha! Good job on the playing and singing, as well as the crazy build.

  • thanks Annie!

  • thanks soobz! yup, two grizzly kits.

  • Russ, just getting back from gigging in Reno and trying to catch up. This is awesome. The Griz doesn't sound that bad either. Great job on all fronts.

  • thanks Dominator! i appreciate the support.

  • Dude I mised this one 'cause somehow my sub to your vids disappeared (I'm a tech retard). This is great! And real cool double neck! Would be cool to have one soprano and one tenor hooked up toghether. Great singing too!

  • thanks baron! i agree, a soprano/tenor would be pretty awesome.

  • Dude! This is awesome! Harmony and everything, dang.

  • thanks señor seeso!

  • Awesome Russ!! So that's the uke you built with your kit? That's so cool!! And it sounded really good. Your harmonies are fantastic, and LOL @ the National Geographic pin-up! This was a great video to come home to!!

  • thanks Michelle! yup, this was made from two $25 uke kits. hope you had much fun on holiday. cheers!

  • This video reminds me of performances by Aldrine and Ryan with the one on the left being Ryan. Also your voice seems like its getting a lot better from doing all these videos.

  • thanks Ryan! this video reminds me that i have a lot of practicing to do to reach the level of awesomeness that is the k-town heroes! cheers!

  • thanks Adelle! just pray they don't both show up at your door. call ze police.

  • Awesome. And where did you get that uke?

  • thanks Gio! cobbled it together from two grizzly uke building kits.

  • russ that was great! tell the other russ i said so too.

  • cool video russ. and thats a dope looking uke.

    PEACE,

    Ed

  • thanks Ed! the looks make up for the so-so sound.

  • Casetone are confused by doublerusses. They can see the differences between the Russes (dodgy hair on left - We know about throwing stones in glass houses, but still...) but what is the difference between the 2ukes?

  • Oh, nearly forgot. Excellent and 5 stars.

  • thanks Tony! funny thing was the two bits were filmed one after another. not sure how the hair got so screwed up just from changing tshirts. the bottom neck is high G re-entrant, the top neck is low G.

  • Twice as good as some of your solo stuff Russ.

    Loved it. Really excellent harmonies.

    KEN

  • thanks Ken! cheers!

  • you've grown a mustache and you're playing a siamese twin of a ukulele. I'm a little disoriented...but I'm totally okay with it cause it sounds sounds so goood. the harmony is nice...and so is the centerfold gaze at the national geographic, hahaha.

this gets an A+ in quality entertainment.

  • thanks Shani! it was a lot of fun to do.

  • RUSS, FTW. that was awesome. :)

  • thanks Ame!

  • Like the Ukulele Underground T-shirts in blue and brown. Hey don't be too critical about the performance, this is YouTube. People seem to forget that. If I didn't already subscribe i'd put this on Fav's.

  • thanks man! appreciate the comment.

  • mustache!!! lol

  • *twitches 'stache*

  • Awesome!!! You did a great job on that 2kulele. I would love to make one of my own someday.

  • thanks dude! it's a fun project. give it a shot!

  • The Yopps think you Russes did just swell!

  • i owe the Yopps much credit for the tips on the blue microphones and multiquence. cheers man!

  • Doubly good! Clever video!

  • Russ, you guys rock. You should totally form a band.

  • thanks M-A! the band wouldn't last 2 minutes with those two egos :(

  • Aldrine thinks that the harmonies are uber tight. Aldrine will also stop speaking in third person also. *is lame*
