It sure does,
it was designed by the same person as the Mini and has the same A-series Engine.

I had 2 MG Metro's in the past. A pure white 1986 model and a red 1988 one. You don't know how much I loved the gearbox whine from those engines. Fucking music to my ears. :-)

Nah, of course I didn't put oil in them.
The A Series and A+ Series had a natural whine to them because of the oil sump/gearbox setup. Beautiful sound.
