  • you make it look easy

  • Are you in Latvia? :))))

  • very interesting at 2;00 its not the same way to open mmmmm interesting video and useful

  • nice functionnal demonstration i like it

  • DELICIOUS PEAS!

  • Шпроты...ням-ням...

  • Woah u made it look easy.. I actually tried it and i cant even cut it that fast..

  • looks like your gonna have some left-overs

  • Блеать, неужели можно как-то затупить и открыть по другому!

  • I sometimes think the can openers by Wenger and Victorinox are easier and better to use than any modern can openers. I never tried the Wenger one to be honest since the only Wenger knife I have is the soldier/army knife you have there as well which has the Victorinox opener and all my other knifes are victorinox and I use them all the time to open cans. Good vid ;)

  • you saved my evening!!

  • pfff.. i can open cans with a simple kitchen knife easier...

  • Finally somebody on Youtube who knows how to correctly use the Victorinox can opener. There are dudes out here opening cans backwards, which is not the right way (with the Victorinox knife at least). This can opener is easy to use but it does take a couple of times until you feel comfortable with it. Thanks for posting it.

  • By the way, how do you do it left handed? I am left handed and I want to know.

  • Have you been in Latvia ? :D

  • I have the Victorinox Ranger model and the can opener is so easy and quick that I tend to use it even when electric / cranking openers are available.

  • Hey man are you from Latvia?

  • Thanks. I was using the other end of the knife.

  • Ha!

  • Great video.

  • idk how you go so fAST

  • Very good video. I think that the Wenger can opener seems to be a little faster although I've never used it so I could be wrong. I'm a big fan of Victorinox and I find its can opener really easy to use as well as all other tools. Overall, I think that Victorinox is more appealing than Wenger.

  • About the results of opening cans - cut lids and the edges of cans you can see photos of the following links:

  • is that catfood!? and peas

  • @ndej123

No, it's peas and canned fish, but it does not matter. More importantly, how to open cans. ;)

  • Excellent demonstration. I tried a Vic can opener recently on a rare can of cat food that didn't have a pop top, but the metal the can was made of was so soft the lip started to warp and I had to take the can to the electric opener. :/

  • So... did you eat the stuff in the cans?

  • Someone who actually knows how to use the can opener correctly and doesn't go backwards with it, try to use it left handed, ect! Excellent video!

  • Could you show how to open a can with the Victorinox combination tool? It would seem similar to the Wegner can opener, but less convenient.

  • Cool! I've never found myself needing to use one but at least I know how if I do. Great video!

  • very nice informative video without distracting music. thank you so much.

  • Thanks for the video!

I have several victorinox and a wenger and had noticed the different kind of can openers.

In my opinion the victorinox is far superior to the wenger, is faster to use and leaves less sharp points in the can.

  • Настоящий мастер-класс!) Викторинокс все-таки поудобней

  • you make it look so easy ;_;

  • OUt of curiosity...any reason you had 3 Vic's up there? I understand one Vic and one Wenger, but all Victorinox can openers are the same as each other.

  • @bluesy92 "OUt of curiosity...any reason you had 3 Vic's up there?"

    It only for an example.

I wished to show that on all Vics and SAKs identical can openers.

  • @Katran73

But there are more simplified Vics with a combined bottle opener / can opener which looks different. They look somewhat similar to the wenger opener.

  • @Kleinalrik

there are no other. There are just 2 SAK companies: wenger and victorinox and ony this two types of openers. Others are just knock-offs.

I prefer the wenger can opener, It leaves a much cleaner cut. I use to make glasses out of cans for drinking wile camping

  • @enkick No, I'm pretty sure it's an old victorinox. I've got one here. Im going to look after it to show it to you.

  • @enkick

Meanwhile I found it, but have no opportunity to upload a pic. It's the Victorinox Bantam, you'll find it via search on youtube. At 0:52 you see the gadget I am talking about.

  • @bluesy92 they aren't all identical. some have screwdrivers on them and some do not but, sak makes the best damn can opener on a multitool by any means.

  • very informative vid...

didn't knew how to use that important part if that impressive tool
