Secondly: The only part in it like the street scene outside the record shop in LOM, was the shot of London toward Greenwich and Tower Hamlets, all 4 seconds of it. Don't get me started on the Rover 600 in series 2.
But these things don't really take away from the show.
My only main disappointment? The clown was just confusing filler until the last episode of series 1.
I compare it to the young Gene Hunt 'ghost' of series 3, which was a far cleverer plot device and ignited a mystery for the viewer as well as Alex Drake.
Agreed, the first iconic moment of the show that added real drama. But although impressive, It really only stepped up in it's own right when real world risk was involved. It did lack a bit of tension until the Price storyline got going.
i've seen so many vid's of this scene since youtube always seems to take away the proper music, and your the only one thats got the overlay in the right timing.

This was the moment that ashes to ashes stepped out from the shadow of Life on Mars and became a great show in it's own right, in my opinion.
