Personally I think men made religion to learn more about God and get more people to know about Him. I n my church the saying on the bulletin is " Sharing the Christ who cares together" In the ten commandments it says "remember the seventh day and keep it holy" (seventh = Saturday) a day to go to church and worship a part of Religion. God wanted us to worship not to be saved but to be inspired to tell more people of God's Grace so they can accept the free gift of salvation (just my own opinion)

A lot of what he said in this poem of his is great, its true. But Jesus didn't come to abolish religion. Jesus said it himself, he came to fulfill it. If this guy knows this, then he either doesn't fully understand it, or he just chose the wrong choice of words for the title of this poem.

religion and church are two seperate things. God started the Church, it was his plan from the beginning. i feel there's one church, the one started by Christ. There many religions, not all about Jesus. Jesus isn't religion. Religion has the views of anti abortion, anti homosexuality and only believe in one way of spirituality. Which is why people get turned off by die hard religion people. Jesus loved and accepted everyone regardless of race creed or color. Jesus isn't religion... He's better.
Of course, we have to follow what God says, I don't think that's 'religious', I just see it as the 'right' thing to do. For example, be kind to others Jesus says...is that 'religious, or just right?' We do have to follow His commandments, it's not enough believing.

@OldSoulTV Alright, Jesus and God are not the same person. God is the Father, Jesus is the Son. They are two separate entities that work together in unity, like a team. There are different players on a team, but they're working together to achieve one goal, to win. (John 1) The "Word" in the first few verses is referring to the Jesus that we know today, referred to as the Word in the old testament.
@OldSoulTV And ever since the fall of Adam, God required sacrifices for sin. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for all of our sins so that we didn't have to continue offering sacrifices if we sinned again. I hope this helped :)

@mysinger4life So here's a thought for you re commandments, especially the 10 commandments (which are good things to follow by the way) What if God didn't give us 10 Commandments but 10 ways to see that we can't live up to His desire for relationship with us? What if He was leading us to a relationship with Him by showing us that we can never fulfill all these commandments. He only gave them to us after the Israelites had asked Moses to go talk to Him cause they were too scared to go near.

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." More simply stated, "treat others the way you would want them to treat you." When Religion gets in the way of that, the creator of this video hates it. Still not sure why he brings politics in it. There is ample research that shows Conservative donate far more to the poor than Liberals.

I love this! Kudos to him for finally telling the catholic church that loving god is about huge churches and ceremony. Personally I think men made religion to learn more about God and get more people to know about Him. I n my church the saying on the bulletin is " Sharing the Christ who cares together" In the ten commandments it says "remember the seventh day and keep it holy" (seventh = Saturday) a day to go to church and worship a part of Religion. God wanted us to worship not to be saved but to be inspired to tell more people of God's Grace so they can accept the free gift of salvation (just my own opinion)

A lot of what he said in this poem of his is great, its true. But Jesus didn't come to abolish religion. Jesus said it himself, he came to fulfill it. If this guy knows this, then he either doesn't fully understand it, or he just chose the wrong choice of words for the title of this poem.

Religion is a person's belief or Philosophical view, while the Church is the one that makes rules and tells you not to sin, so practically if you believe in God even though you don't pray as much or think about him, you a actually have a religion.

If you'll look it up the meaning of the Church is "a group of people who gathers to praise God NOT make and impose rules" Church are the people & NEVER the building. Small problem … by the logic of the poem, Paul’s being a bondservant by keeping the commandments of YHVH/Messiah would have to be seen as unacceptable religiosity.
He’s right about religion as in traditions of men but 100% wrong about The Word that came down and dwelt among men … ie Torah, the prophets, etc (there was no NT then). ‘If you love Me, keep My commandments’ (fulfilled Torah). Very simple. DO NOT change them or add to them as is demonstrated by traditions of men like Christmas...

religion and church are two seperate things. God started the Church, it was his plan from the beginning. i feel there's one church, the one started by Christ. There many religions, not all about Jesus. Jesus isn't religion. Religion has the views of anti abortion, anti homosexuality and only believe in one way of spirituality. Which is why people get turned off by die hard religion people. Jesus loved and accepted everyone regardless of race creed or color. Jesus isn't religion... He's better.

Jesus was the only who could bring salvation to the world. the church didnt hate the jews throught them the saviour of the world came. In the old testaments the priest made sacrifices to God for the sins of the iraelites. But God loved the world so much that He came to die on the cross for our sins.

They would actually make you feel loved by them but mostly by God. They shouldn't be telling you about hell nor should they judge you. There will come a day that God will rightly judge all people. I just want to ask. That's all. Jesus and the God of the Old testament (sorry for spelling if incorrect) are the same. Right? Then why did the Church hate Jews, God's "chosen people"? @OldSoulTV Alright, Jesus and God are not the same person. God is the Father, Jesus is the Son. They are two separate entities that work together in unity, like a team. There are different players on a team, but they're working together to achieve one goal, to win. (John 1) The "Word" in the first few verses is referring to the Jesus that we know today, referred to as the Word in the old testament.

@mysinger4life So here's a thought for you re commandments, especially the 10 commandments (which are good things to follow by the way) What if God didn't give us 10 Commandments but 10 ways to see that we can't live up to His desire for relationship with us? What if He was leading us to a relationship with Him by showing us that we can never fulfill all these commandments. He only gave them to us after the Israelites had asked Moses to go talk to Him cause they were too scared to go near.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the point is that the only thing one should do is act on the Golden Rule. "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." More simply stated, "treat others the way you would want them to treat you." When Religion gets in the way of that, the creator of this video hates it. Still not sure why he brings politics in it.
