@dcccapfan In their defense, attacking US and allied forces, in Iraq and Afghanistan, will almost always mean going up against superior numbers and superior firepower. The insurgents in this case probably hoped the IED had shaken the Americans enough that they could score a few kills and then run away before things got too hot. Not a great plan, but better than most of the alternatives.

IED's are so well hidden, nobody can find them quickly, accept for the engineers which spend hours looking around in armored cars disabling them. Look up British Army IED. You will get just as many results. IED's are silent killers, and if you checked for all of them, you'd be moving a mile per hour.
In the Marine Corps, doctrine is to do 5's and then 25 M checks. it seems as though he only does a 5. Although, one guy does seem to do a 25 around 2:25. Anyways, can someone please expand on this. Thanks.

IED's are so well hidden, nobody can find them quickly, accept for the engineers which spend hours looking around in armored cars disabling them. Look up British Army IED. You will get just as many results. IED's are silent killers, and if you checked for all of them, you'd be moving a mile per hour.
