They specialise in games so they have nothing else to make a profit of of so they have to get any cent they can earn. They have to pay for their employees. They offer collectors editions and sometimes it's cheaper to buy there rather then to pay for the shipping fees for them. And a 7day return policy incase you don't like it you can return it

They kept insisting it was discontinued. I went into EB Games two days before my birthday and a BRAND NEW copy of Sonic Adventure DX was sitting there with a silver Player's Choice boarder around it.
You didn't even mention the fact that EB Games has a guaranteed 7 day return policy, which means if you buy a game that you end up disliking, you can return it for a FULL REFUND simply because you didn't like it. I do not know of any other retailer that offers such service.
Here's some real advise for those watching: Buy your games from wherever you want to (EB is no better or worse) and STOP watching videos like this so that YouTube doesn't continue to get swamped by these crappy know-it-alls.

I regularly go to EB and JB, pretty much every week, and they're pretty much the exact same. Pre ordering games makes no difference to the games, you just pay 10 bucks when you do pre-order. Also, EB does get more limited stuff, but it's not always pre-order shit. ACB had an exclusive edition to EB, but as far as pre ordering for extra stuff, you could just get the normal game and buy codes of ebay for like 5 bucks. Different stores=Different selling rights and to be honest, I think its fine.

I regularly go to EB and JB, pretty much every week, and they're pretty much the exact same. Pre ordering games makes no difference to the games, you just pay 10 bucks when you do pre-order. Also, EB does get more limited stuff, but it's not always pre-order shit. ACB had an exclusive edition to EB, but as far as pre ordering for extra stuff, you could just get the normal game and buy codes of ebay for like 5 bucks. Different stores=Different selling rights and to be honest, I think its fine.

NBA 2K11 is pretty fucking bad, just to let you know. I used to LOVE sports games, and played them almost exclusively. I got NBA 2K11 for Christmas and returned it not even a week later. It's just a shit game. Hahaha and no, Michael Jordan is not even close to being dead.

EB games used to be good, and now it is greedy! Some games from years ago are still expensive. PC games seem to be the only thing treated with respect, because they don't always over price the games...as far as the one I go to in Chadstone, Melbourne. Too bad everything else that is new is overpriced. 100 bucks for a game? I can't think of any other Western country that suffers like this!

Last year i preordered black ops from eb games. paidd the normal cost was like 110 bucks or something. then on the day i went to pick it up and they were selling for 100 dollars. because eb games is a bunch of fucking wankers they refused to give me a store credit or refund the excess and instead gave me the option of preordering a game or nothing. love eb games for that
