  • let me ask, do youy know is it a must to use the FZ hammer? I have a Timney and a RRA 2 stage and just curious?

  • @OICU81272 You dont have to run it, it will be fine....

  • exo rocks! this stuff is crazy! harder than hard chrome and self lubricating... whats there to not like?

  • so if the BCG is that much harder it really would be wise to just buck up and get the upper coated also? Id think that something that hard incontact with an alum. upper would cause pre mature wear problems...?

  • @CPLBSS88 I wound up and got the upper also, but the surface is so slick on the carrier that it actually wears less with less lubrication.

  • @CPLBSS88 having rough carpenter 1058 steel standard Bolt running in the aluminum upper actually causes more wear according to some I have read. The lubricity of the Nib supposedly reduces that wear. I run a Failzero with a small amount of Slip 2000 EWL. Works so well I cannot believe it. Yeah it runs well cleans easy. They work. The FZ bolts are machined and made by AO-Advanced Ordnance and coated by Failzero UCT coatings.

  • Have you had any receiver wear?

  • @semiautoriflelover Not any, but I still have been using CLP on it.

  • Great Vid! I have the Fail Zero and I just gave my opinion about it in a vid. I highly recommend it for any ar15 owner! You would be surprised how many people dont know how to properly lube an Ar15. Fail Zero eliminates the guess work or the grease vs oil argument. I have put my basic kit through the test and it preforms 150% back every time. My AR's run better, smother and are more accurate. I highly recommend!

  • @CorruptArsenal213 That sound great!

    Thanks for the input.

  • great vids. so to be safe you still can oil this bolt to.

  • @StiThis1 I sure would.

  • @StiThis1 The idea is not to be able to run lube free. Wet lubricants can actually work against your weapon, when oil/lube gets dirt or sand in it I turns into a paste which gums the action instead of lubing it! Even if you lube very little It can still cause partials to stick to it defeating the purpose or lube. SELF lubricating surfaces such as nickel boron and np3 are the way to go!

  • @docholiday82 +1 I totaly agree, I still use a small amount of lube. I just wipe it off and relube after each shooting round.

  • @docholiday82 Wrong. keep it wet and it will run.

  • Nice video! Could you please make a video showing how dirty it gets after 200 or so rounds, and showing us how easily it cleans? Perhaps taking it apart and showing the bolt and if you need to use any solvent to clean, or just wipe it off? Thanks!

  • I will try to fit it in. It will take a few weeks.

    Thanks!

  • Very interesting good info!

  • Are there other companys that make the same product ? 5*

  • There are other Co. that do nickle boron coatings, that is not a new product. What is new is Fail Zero has applied it to firearms and have developed it to a point where there coating is ISO 9000 and Six Sigma certified. It may not sound that significant, but that is a big step. Ni B has been used in industrial bit and where caustic solutions are in use and aerospace industry for a while.

Hope that helped, sounded kind of wordy to me.

  • 5 Stars Good info thanks !
