Well, I think that Japan is one the most homogeneic country of Asia and of the World. France used to be that way before the massive Africain immigration of the 70's. Nowadays, those children of immigrants are causing serious troubles to our country and other european countries (U.K., Danemark, Scandinavia, etc...) know the same problems. In fact, face to globalization, we, in Alsace like other regions of France have to be strong and that pass by protecting ourselves from too much strangers. ;)
Wow, that is a very nice dance! beautiful, is it German? A friend of mine who is black went to Alsace in such a festival, a woman told him "this guy looks like a monkey, he should go back to Africa" Is this type of reactions common in Alsace? Do they reject other cultures? Because in Japan, we actually accept any people in our Festivals
IT doesnt exist a whole people which is racist. Its an offense to say that on Alsace which have been for 1200 years an immigration land. If one say bad things it doesnt mean all paople think so.
This comment is very open minded, I don't know what to think about Alsace any more, some people say that it's pure blood and that you are afraid of invasion by other cultures, some other like you say that it is an immigration land, you seem to me more open minded than your peers...
@inmemoryofk It's not a land of world immigration and never has it been, like no countries in Europe. But we are forced by our government to deal with it. Until a limit.

Sorry guy, what is your problem with Alsace? It's your third story with some racism in Alsace...do you have many others left?....the Alsacian that i know (pure blood living for sure since 1770 in Alsace without mixing their blood) dislike at first the french people. not in matter of race but of mentality)
And if you have really a friend with african roots, the only one who think that he's monkey is you and only you!
To reply to your question - Alsace is a place with a strong problem of Identity, the population was imported from several Germanic regions after the original population was decimated and they now count one of the strongest votes for the Front National. But it is a beautiful region with many nice people.
this message comes from an alsatian!! Don't you don't know shit about us...please stop to read your books and come to see us and we will teach you our history it is always a pleasure for us
we were not imported where did you learn bullshit like this land was ours a long time ago...we welcomed immigrants from everywhere to compense the people the lack of population after the different wars. To explain you the origin of the alsatian people, we are alemanic like the swiss-german that's why we have germanic names. And we welcomed a lot of people fleeding persecussions. our problem of identity is in the fact that we have to learn how to keep our language our culture and be good french
OK I got it. By the way, do you feel more French or more German, no offense but I would like to know on which side you would prefer to be. I heard that now the immigration is far more important in Germany than France.
Also when you say other culture invade our region, do you mean that your region is defensive against other cultures? For Example, Japan has a very strong culture but we accept to integrate other cultures like the American culture, the European culture or African
@inmemoryofk Ok, i didn't see those questions at first, but, to answer you, I know that I germanic blood and also french blood for my part (Alsace becoming french in 1648). And I only feel French. ;) Only.
@inmemoryofk Thank you for your answers. You've done me a favor by responding to franceElsass I didn't want to tire myself out to react to his/her dumb thoughts...And I agree with you.
Do you think you are a culture at risk? For example, strong cultures like the American culture or the Japanese culture are so strong that they are not afraid to be invaded, we integrate everything that's coming, but it seems that you are scared of invasion so does it mean that your culture is about to disappear?
@inmemoryofk They, in fact, are taking revenge of a decades of french colonisation in black Africa and Maghreb. It's not me that say it just like that, but they clearly say that they hate France and their inhabitants. You know, we are not racist but weare forced to become it.
