I think what the guy means by the ultramarines being the main chapter is that about 70 percent of all the chapters out there are successor chapters from the UM, due to their strict (and i mean ridiculously strict) adherence to the Codex Astartes to divide the original legion.

You do have regenerating armor, it seems, but that's only part of your health packet, and just there, so you have some insentive to not just chop through everything.

oh, and Ultramarines clearly would believe them selves to be the closest to the ideal space marine, and 40k's factions do love them some "first in skiil and age." so even if it's not true, they would say that.

The Ultramarines were genetically modified, using their founding primarch's DNA, just like all the other chapters.

There's nothing special about the Ultramarines. In fact, they're the most generic chapter in the WH40k universe.

The Ultramarines are the Chapter that spawned the most successor chapters, due to their loyalty to Roboute Guilliman, their primarch, who decreed that that all legions be split into separate chapters of a thousand warriors each, to avoid another civil war. not all chapters follow this to the letter as the ultramarines do.

The marines are divided into various "chapters".... each chapter functionally is a self contained army. The Ultramarines, Blood Ravens, Space Wolves, etc. are individual chapters. The Ultramarines are the goody goody boyscout chapter of the Imperium. They literally wrote the book on how marines are organized and fight. As to game play, don't think there will be diff

This game, while it looks cool and all, and I will love playing, is complete bull as far as 40k goes. First off, they have fucked up Bolt Weapons yet again. They do not fire "rocket-propelled slugs" They fire fucking mini-warheads. The point of a Bolter is to blow big ass holes in whatever it hits. It is a lethal-killing weapon. Not an assault rifle. And since when do Space Marines not use cover? A bolt round will go through them just as easy as an Ork. Again, looks cool, but is screwed

Standard Bolter Ammunition is rocket propelled. The wiki also describes them as slugs. I'm pretty sure the codex's describe them the same way, I'll have to check with my friends who run Space Marines, I typically run nids.
