  • cool sound effects coming from his shirt

  • he really needs to get some assistants that are up to par

  • wow, SiFu Huang is a pretty good teacher. thanks!

  • this guy reminds me of my cousin

  • this guy actually teaches application in a variety of ways. good teacher

  • ah, so cute! and I got everything he said. awesome.

  • I would love to see a demonstration of how outside cloud hands leads directly into single whip because that blocking motion can lead directly to sticking, trapping the wrist, extending and then uprooting.

  • Inside slap!!

    FTW

  • I like this man. He is adorable!

  • ROFL inside slap would hate to be at the end of that in public

  • This person has no idea what hes doing, and knows nothing abut Tai Chi. There are no 'Blocks' in Tai Chi. It's all redirection of the in comming force, or cutting the power.

A block is force on force type of thing, which is diametrically opposed to the principals of Tai Chi.

To use 'Cloud Hands' you would first absorb the in comming force, and use a spinal rotation to redirect it as you step in on them. This diffuses thier energy off into empty space. The second one is the take down.

  • interesting start, i'm trying to learn some basic movements today

  • best teacher ever!

  • @mrtsunny

No he's not. What he's showing is totally, completely, and diametrically opposed to the principals of Tai chi. This guy has no idea what he's doing.

  • awesome videos!

  • Remember I was here.Thai 2:25PM 5/6/2011

  • awsome themostcooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolvideooooooooooooooo

  • Good video Mate -Thanks - i like your personal style!

  • hello, I believe that besides blocking, there are other ways to use cloud hands. He should also touch a bit more on the internal aspects e.g. how to actually manifest a cloud hand block with the principles of softness, yielding and stickiness. or else it becomes a simple swiping motion and would depend on how fast and how strong the individual is, which unfortunately is not following tai-chi principles.

but otherwise his presentation is charismatic and clear.

  • @DaftPunkeisteam you forgot...kali boxing from philippines

  • Thank you .. .FINALLY someone who actually knows ...

people the CIRCULAR way he does the "head slap" ... he does not tell you that is a capture preceding a KO or neck break but it is ...

  • Would you imagine doing this on the dance floor :P

anyway, very understandable and good to learn, ty

  • In and out. In and out. In and out.....Oh yeeeaaaah.

  • This guy is my teacher! He is so easy to follow!

  • Who is this man? I really like the way he teaches.

  • @jtbdaddy People...His name is Jack Huang and he teaches very simple techniques of Tai chi that are highly effective. Hes easy to understand. hes got plenty videos and you can learn alot. I have practiced tai chi for a while and i still enjoy his videos. He teaches the fighting applications. Other videos and instruction shows slow motions with no explainations onto why. It makes people think tai chi is no good for a fight. Well it is effective.

  • Hands down the best teacher at Expert Village.

  • called up and down windmills in tsoi li ho fut hung

  • inside slap inside slap..haha nicee

  • wow, thank you for describing one of the exact uses of wave hands like clouds in basic tai chi, i think you just made this video for publicity, to get your dojo thought about but was this video really necessary? i mean c'mon, its literally one of the easiest movements in the tai chi forms. sorry for the negativity but... wow.

  • @MightySunTzu it is called *basic* tai chi moves di you expect back flips and summer salts while blocking kuni coming from all angles lol

  • @soundwave159 i was expecting.... well theres my problem, i was expecting something different lol. but yes pretty much i was expecting the flips and godly powers while raising up a pillar of fire.

  • @MightySunTzu I think your looking for anime my friend lol

  • @soundwave159 no dont get me wrong, im almost a tai chi chuan master, i was just joking... but it would still be pretty bitchin to see someone summon up a pillar of fire.

  • his vids are so relaxing

  • hi mi name its bruce

  • She is my sister and become naughty benaughtyman.info

  • geez this guy has a voice that can put u to sleep. he chill all the time. morgan freeman got competition

  • . . . in and out, in and out and in and out, in and out . . . ha ha ha . . . I thought it'll be a chihuahua technique HUMP HUMP . . .

  • what about the BALLS?

  • @zezima48 Taichi don't use them much.

  • i have to watch this vid a couple of times becuz im alittle stuck but keep doin your thing

  • He's an awesome teacher!

  • he is good at teaching martial arts

  • "he is good at this...very good at this" LOL, this guy is a true G. he explains the applications very well

  • A great teacher- he lets the student be the expert, instead of just the foil against which he shows off.. VERY different!

  • its good, but if you inside block too close to the wrist like that your opponent can just collapse his elbow and use it to strike your face, so you need to intercept closer to the elbow.

  • OOOOOOOOOOO I Finally I found the video that I need... Thanks!!!

  • thank you very much.

  • hmm....letme see...does that remind me of something....wait

    YES: wax on wax off....haha

  • I like this, it helps blocking and also parrying for fighting

  • HAHAHA! miami guy. you sound like a guido!! i'd fight you, but you'd get tanged up in all your gold chain neclaces!! plus i dont want to wipe your tan off. and also, if im fighting multiple little girls, ill ridgehand ya. but i still wont punch you. This chinese guy is still freakin cool.

  • THIS IS GOOD INFOMATION!

  • manuevers

  • oh and if you didnt know he is demonstrating defensive manueers.. not that i'd ever wanna learn his style but its good to look around

  • yeah i think mma stands for mixed martial arts? so in a way .. you gotta know all variations of fighting and not be so arrogant zsollose.. bcus in all actuality martial arts didnt originate in miami

  • his is to the nerd moojuiceman if you want to slap me you have to come to miami. To the extreme mma clubb. We will welcomme you. We need e new "slap bag" hehehe pleas go and slap and fuck your mother. Or get a plane ticket to miami

  • @zsollose Well if anything, typing/spelling isn't your strong point.

  • hahaha

  • This guy is really neat.

  • Many does! And for obvious reasons.

Don't underestimate a slap to the head. It can be very effective.

Another thing is, you're not risking injuries to your hand, when you slap.

  • same principle as slashing with a whip

no its not homosexual drag queen style

  • i would use a slap to fight you. i dont punch little girls.

  • wax on wax off

  • @11BusoRenkin11 lol karate kid good 1

  • @11BusoRenkin11 ~ When I first began studying taijiquan I was shocked to discover how much of what was shown in the original Karate Kid series (including in the second or third film when they use the rotating drum as a metaphor for circular momentum punching) was actually taijiquan not "karate". Of course in the recent remake of the film, it isn't karate, _either_.

  • lol he was in sync it the cars wizzing by.

  • True, they're not sticking, but it appears to be more focused on showing how Tai Chi is not just this slow moving thing that's done early in the morning in parks. It has very real and practical applications. I'm not sure that I would agree that Tai Chi has no "blocks" only strikes though. Perhaps no hard blocks, although brush past knee is a block, as is fair lady works the shuttle. I've also seen needle to the bottom of the sea as a block. Absorb and redirect. :) Be well, all.

  • its martial arts but not really tai chi. he should be sticking to his opponent instead of just parrying. using this would mean to rely on reflexes which isnt really what tai chis about. the student is just stopping the shots and not continuing the circle to trap the arms. also its all double weighted, a big no no in tai chi.

  • There are no blocks in Tai Chi only strikes, you would not stand there and continually parry punches. Tai Chi best defence is attack.

  • alot of people dont think of tai chi as a martial art, yet tai chi is martial art in its highest form,

  • lol i like him

  • man, whats up with those two students of his always being soooooo damn tense?

    wtf man

besides that, he's the fcuking O.G.

  • this guy is the shit i love his vids

  • Kung Fu is not a martial art just a name used in the 70's because it sounded cool. It means hard working man.

  • What about the Shaolin monks? Yes, kung fu is a chinese term meaning "mastership obtained with hard work", but it's also a fighting system.

  • gung fu is a martial art

you can practice your gung fu doing other martial arts too though.

  • ce tai chi c'est un des arts les plus puissants au monde non seulement pour une élevation spirituelle mais aussi pour détruire son adversaire

  • i'd take my hand and flatten it to make it flat and make it an inside chop

  • i really like dhis video of urs. because it is all about; 'Tai Chi'! which is an tradicaly-style from China.. in the land of China, there is a school for those who he/she is intreasd about the history of "Tai Chi"!! ;) besides you might give it a try or two... u know? even a shaolin monks or buddia monks can do it & try it. it's like yin & yeng, u know what i saing?? so i'm going to give it a 4-POINTS!!! :)

  • funny guy

  • inside..slap.. gotcha!

  • Super Sifu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome Video is their some way i can get in touch with master Huang?

  • reply his vid on expert village (if he uploaded the vid)

  • very nice! when I teach yuen shou, I usually relate it to the arm drag in wrestling. Very similar technique except that while the left hand is catching the opponents right hand, the defenders right hand is generally striking the groin or covering the opponents left arm before catching the elbow for a hyper extension. Once the hyper extension has been executed, both of the defenders hands commence on the arm drag. Yuen shou continues into a take down, throw, etc. Of course, more than one app.:)

  • You look really cool Prof. Huang! See you in Tai Chi Class! =)

  • tai chi may look bullshit, but it owns kung fu and silat

  • Technically speaking tai chi is a kind of kung fu,since kung fu is a term used in the west for all chinese martial arts. And besides it is not so much the style that matters but the practitioner.

  • no no no. tai chi is an INTERNAL version and shaolin is the EXTERNAL version. kung fu is simply a term that means "the art of doing something". so they are both kung fu, but one is shaolin and one is wudang. one is waijia and the other is neijia. one is strong and domonation, the other is soft and yielding. thiers the differences for ya.

  • i think im in love
