I really like this guy and the idea of what he's trying to do, but reality is that when you try to mix country with R&B vocals, it's still not country. Country is in the vocal sound. You've heard pop-country and rock-country. What makes them successful in the country business? Their country vocals. Maybe this explains it better: If Akon and Tim McGraw made singles using the same song with the exact same background music, one would be considered R&B and the other would be country. Its the vocals.
