  • One of those classic Brookie moments, I can remember watching this all those years ago. Bring back Brookie!!!! This and the rape of Sheila Grant were the best storylines!

  • fuck this episode gave me the creeps for a while lol

  • Bring back brookie!

  • Ohray soft lad.

  • And why are we supose to be the worst country? because of the stupid euro that' why ireland are fucked because of it , that's one good thing we did and that not change to euros, im from England and proud of it, and your telling me that Greece is a better place to live. lol they're fucked there. like i said we may pay more for stuff bur' we still have more money in our pockets at the end of the day. And these suvays are nothing but a load of shit

  • we may pay more tax than anywere else in europe but we sill have more money after taxes, thats because we ge more wages than anywere in europe. don't get me wrong it dose have a lot of bad points. but it could be worse try living in America.

  • brookside on dvd 2012

  • WTF did they end Brooky??????? Watching this reminds me it was alot better than the trash that is now shown in Eastenders, corrie and emerdale. Glad I left the UK 10years ago. I doubt I am missing much

  • @teewoods WOW you're basing a country on a TV soap?. And to move where? it must be out of this world. i've travelled the world and nowhere comes close to living in the UK. That's my opinion anyway.

  • @stuartpatto1976

Funny you said that - google this 'uk voted the worst country to live in Europe'. You would see thousands of websites backing this survey. UK is a hell hole , over priced and over run by thugs.

  • @teewoods You're talking out of your arse mate. tell me were's better? That's why every cunt wants to come here.

  • @teewoods And that is based on highest tax rate. But you get more wages in britain than any other country in europe, if i have to pay £10 more for my weekly shoping bill i'll and more for my fuel i'll. we're the best country in the EU And were did you move my friend.

  • Ha... Eddie (paul) is my teacher at college :)

  • Brilliant scene! It shows how desensitised the audience is now.. 20 years ago buried corpses, lesbians, protection rackets etc made powerful viewing. Now they're feature every day, last night there was a gay kiss on Corrie and I bet no one batted an eyelid

  • Wow I was 7 when this aired. I always remember Jimmy Corkhill jumping back from seeing a hand. But I could never remember anything else. Thanks for posting.

  • remember "Cracker, heal!!!". Old Jimmy C.

  • how come he didn't smell the body? surely it would be completely rotting, stinking corpse at that stage.....

  • Hi, I've never seen Brookside b4, and I watched this scene. Could someone please explain this scene to me, who was the body , and who killed them??/

  • @Delboylover1997 the body is that of Trevor Jordache. He was a bully and child abuser who beat his wife and sexually abused his children. As a result, Trevor was eventually stabbed by his wife Mandy and his daughter Beth buried him under the patio.

His death happened in May 1993. This scene is in January 1995.

  • @npd6900, thanks for replying, yes my twin brother Daniel told me about this scene when I asked - this Trevor Jordache seems like a Phil Mitchell ah?

Except - Phil Mitchell would never let someone bury him haha!!

  • That body was under the patio for nearly 2 years. How the hell is it not a skeleton? Or even decomposed in any way?

  • @npd6900 thats what I was thinking! Its well preserved considering how long it had been down there!

  • I was gutted Mandy got caught like that. I thought she was one of the greatest Brookside actors I have ever seen

  • *LMAO* Jimmy Corkhill's reaction. I think he'd given up the smack at that point.

  • absolute classic

  • love the theme tune

  • does anyone remember geoff rogers? he's my english teacher now.

  • So glad I found this scene on youtube.

Most iconic Brookie scene for me. But I also distinctly remember the scene where Jimmy Corkhill jumped off the school roof. Brookside was the best British soap opera. Nothing else compares for me. Not Corrie, not Eastenders, not Emmerdale, not Hollyoaks. Brookside was the shit! Never forget it.

  • cracker was a belting dog. wonder what he,s up to now?

  • I remember watching this with my Granda as a 17 year old and she burst out loughing in her armchair at Eddie's reaction to 'the hand'. She died in 2006 god bless her but this was one of my funniest memories of TV with her. Thanks so much for posting!

  • hahahaha, the acting's so bad

  • What a pile of shit. Every fucking soap on TV is utter wank. And fuck all you losers that watch them. Why did I click on this then? I'm drunk.

  • anyone know where i can find the court case for this murder?

  • Great soap moment, this was one of Brookside's most watch episodes, still remember the shock, when that hand popped out the ground.

  • so badley acted

  • by far the best soap ever jimmy is the boy

  • Ha ha there house would be the one with the drainage problems lol which is how the body wa revealed classic when the hand pops out. x x

  • what happened to Sinbad after his involvement in this crime?

  • This comedy is golden

  • I would have stuck my dick in the hand....oooohhhhh baby!!!

  • It was different to any other soap opera... it became cult viewing in the late 80's early 90's... specially the Beth and Margaret storyline... and whatever happened to Growler Rogers??

  • lol

  • Oh God this was so funny still makes me laugh now.

  • If they were to bring this soap back it would be a stroke of genius. The crap thats on now....reality this ,dancing on x factor get me out of here bullshit....I miss this programme BRING IT BACK NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

  • pudsrus, totally with you, this was the best soap ever and was the first soap to not be afraid to tackle controversial issues such as drugs , homosexuality, incest, rape, murder etc.. It was groundbreaking, sad, and absolutely hilarious at times. Who can forget Ron`s mobey van?, Rod the plod, Bev and Ron and Psycho Barry.

  • @pudsrus could not have put it better myself. This prog was pure gold tv. Personally, being from Liverpool myself, i think the powers that be hated this show and cancelled it because it was a scouse programme and they wanted to promote crap drivel such as Eastenders and Emmerdale.

  • I Could Not Agree With You More Scooby71Doo

    :)

  • oh my god that takes me back best soap ever... what was the name of ron dixons daughter she was sex on legs...........

  • MsZoonie, it was Jacqui Dixon.

  • thanks scooby71Doo...she was the best looking babe in soap land no 1 comes close..

  • Clearly you didn't appreciate good telly then

  • Haha that was classic. Loved Jimmy what a legend.

  • My Gran remembers spilling her tea on sofa when she saw this episode.....she wasn't expecting that...

  • this is the biggest story in soaps ever!!! this is when brooky was big lol

  • bit too loud

  • oh my god this still makes me laugh now brilliant

  • this was the ultimate soap story line of all time. brookie was ledge loved watching it when i was young. jimmy corkhill and barry grant were the best

  • JIMMY COORKHILL!

  • best storyline in british soap ever. "Who shot phil mitchell?" doesnt even come close!

And the brookside music when the adverts came on, I havnt heard that in years, brings back memories!

  • shat my pants at the time...almost did again!

  • Cool

  • best soap ever to embrace british telly, all of brooksides story lines wer great. it was so sad to see it get axed in 2003 and they never shud hav ended it wiv the estate being sold, it cud hav been bein brought bk =[ ahh well we still got all ov its gud memories

  • It was brill brookside

  • This was one of the best soap moments of all time, because soaps up until that point didn't have the balls to do this for some reason. This was definitely a first at the time.

  • One of those classic Brookside moments - BRING BACK BROOKIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brookside was the best.

  • Jimmy's reaction "UURGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!" hahahaha!!!!

  • ano haha bleedin ell haha classic

  • Takes him long enough to get to it!

  • LOL!! "C'mon Edd.... pull it up..."

  • What a fab clip. Thank you. It was good TV wasn't it. Some would say it had already lost the plot by this point but I think this was one of the show's best storylines. :) x

  • Eddie's reaction is hilarious... "ugh ugh ugh it's a hand" LMAO. Aww I miss little Cracker.

  • This scared me years ago!

  • scared me now

  • bleedin ell!!

  • brookside was great but does any body remember another mersey television sreies called what now it was filmed mainly in the knotty ash area in 1986 the series had a liverpool group in the series called the touch ive been trying to get a copy for years with no luck if any one here has a copy or knows where i can get a copy can they be kind and email me waltereyres888athotmaildotcom

  • shame you hadnt upoaded the whole episode m8,i remember this one, cheers anyway

  • The night they killed him was good, weedkiller to the face to blind him if i recall

  • No not exactly but your half right, Mandy and Beth laced Trevor's bottle of whisky with the weed-killer and also tried to give him crushed tablets in hot milk but he caught them, Mandy then stabbed Trevor when he became violent towards Beth.

  • I didnt watch Brookie for long but I remeber this vivdly!

  • this was when brookside was worth watching.

  • Some great stories had brookie - they should never have axed it!

  • now home and away did this on the beach

  • classic brookside that was

  • definatly the best soap story ever. this has been copied in every soap since in some way i think. this was back in 1995 when brooside had a 5 night special from monday to friday. if every soap was taken off the air tomorrow, the one story that would be remembered out of all them would be this one. i miss brookside so much.

  • gripping stuff, best soap storyline ever..

  • Jimmy Corkil was a bum

  • haha he still is!

  • ha ha legend

  • OMG yahhnoo my drama teachers r from brookside

  • lol, Absolutely classic.

  • Classic acting. Cracker can't bear to look lol

  • Where did you get clips of Brookside from can i ask? did you record them on VHS or something?

  • This is from a VHS I recoreded during Channel 4's 15th Birthday celebrations in December 1997, hence the themed bumper at the end of the clip.

  • oh lol it's a hand

  • good tiiiimes!

  • great moment

  • fuckin mint!!!

  • brookside at its best

  • this brings back memories lol...1 of the best ever episodes..a few of us got together nad had a brookie party for the omnibus edition with this episode..with trevor under the patio as the theme...lol we made a coffin shaped cake complete with trevos skeleton..had bloody beth buns..patio squares(macaroon slices lol) and sinbad and mandy blood curdling punch..r.i.p. brookie..one of the best soaps ever to be aired...thanx for the clip tellyisgood!!!

  • wow, wish I was at the party!

  • @sunnyboo67 Do you remember a spoof on some kids TV show that I think was called wolfside? Someone was banana'd to death and one of the characters (a wolf maybe) said "we haven't got a patio" and the other was like "let's build one then!" or something like that

  • I seem to remember the drains were blocked, and whilst Sinbad and the others were away on holiday Eddie dug up his garden to find the problem. Got more than he bargained for, obviously.

  • what were they diggin for?
