Will August shines here....riveting performance, & he has my respect, that is for sure. He's got that "it" factor; that 6th sense; where his performance is a reflection of a "Soul-Communication"....the great ones have that....that ability to portray the "scene" in its optimal and best use. "The River of Life" is a poignant reminder that "the work" brings meaning and substance into even the most abysmal situations.
Will August is a gifted actor. He reminds me of a young Paul Newman.
SIRTONY's music adds a subtle, soft backdrop to the stellar dialogue.
I also loved the unique camera work. Riveting....
