Why not life jaw to pry between door and frame .. That's used fireman use life jaw to open door of crash car and let people out of crash car .... Just for test
Interesting experiments lol :P... but then again, not very scientific... The china safe was drop and the first contact was the corner edge of the safe... whereas the Liberty's first contact was the bottom's two edges, thus equally sharing the impact... geddit? lol.
But i wonder what if both of them were rigged to some explosives :D ehhehee lol...
Yeah, they just bought the cheapest one they could find to compare their safe to. Oh, look! Our USA MADE safe is better than the cheapest crap we could find!
@oilhammer04 With few exceptions burglars and pro's alike go for the door. I think it's because its if you can get the door open you got it all, but you need to make real big hole in the body just to get anything. From time to time go I'll go through the side or top with a small hole (1/4") just to attack the lock from the side and bypass the hardplate and/or glass relocks on the door.
Good video, However i would rather see "real life" Break in video. My safe will never fall from any height. Show a fire, and a pry bar vid, Maybe a drilling of the lock. I think these would be everyday type of senerios.
@RETIREINARIZONA Your right in the real world I see pry bar attacks all the time and drilling sometimes, but there's a lot of that on YouTube now. But wtf they were dropping so I was shooting.
Some of Cannon safes are made in China for the box stores. The problem is not with Cannon safes it is with the box stores. They demand that the safe meet a price point not a quality point. In turn Cannon has to make a safe with light steel and cheap fire ratings. Hope this helps.
@sniper4usmc In a word "NO" I Know, Like, and Sell Cannon (some from China) they make a nice safe. But as a dealer I don't get the ones that go to the big box stores so I cant speak for them. Cannon has factories in 3 country's, they keep a very close eye on them and gives them all a lifetime warranty
well im screwed if they steal my safe with a crane!

That's all well and good, but you're probably comparing a $700 safe to a $1700+ safe.

It seems like a criminal would open these kinds of safes from the sides of back. Why try to go in through the front where all the extra steel is?
