Actually I've had the invisibleshield on mine for about a year and a half to 2 years. A little bit of one of the bottom got some stuff under it early and still isn't sticking, but the rest has stuck on the entire time with no problem.
It's protected it great for me from scratches and fingerprints, and it just makes it a bit glossier without being larger. My 1g ipod still looks new. I think the trick is applying it correctly (and not actively trying to peel it up). Do it very carefully.
Glass & Plastic = Both Smooth, neither have friction - unless you're talking about plastic which isn't flat.
Glass is stronger against pressure, but it is also very brittle against sudden stress.
Drop a plastic cup on a hard floor, and it simply bounces and stays firm.
Drop a drinking glass on a hard floor, and it will smash into hundreds of peices, or if it is a thick glass, it will chip and/or crack - no matter how good the quality of it is.
thats the main reason why they chose glass, becuase of finger pressure and glass has a much more transprant and clear background than plastic, you wont get the same quality and feel of the screen on a plastic screen, plastic also smudges and humidifies much quicker, plastic is also more scratch vunreable, not all glass u drop is going to break
Yes, I also understand where you are coming from, but glass used in the quantity that the iPhone have used it, is enough for it to be easily scratched or broken, I base this on the fact three of my close friends had to throw out their iPhones because they were either dropped accidently on the street, sat on, or had things dropped onto them (such as school bags)
I myslef hae=ve an iPhone and i find it hard to scratch it with my namil or a key even,, of course if u apply too much pressure like sitting on it, then even plastic would break
Yes it would, but plastic screened phones are usually cheaper. Also, they are smaller screened, thus are more dense and harder to break. Think of it as trying to scunch up a big ball of paper, and then try and scrunch up a tiny compact ball. It's a lot harder because it's more compressed into a smaller space.
It would take more effort to break a plastic screened phone, than the large glass screened iPhone. I would love to continue arguing but I don't have the time :P
I would rather use a stylus, you could fit smaller buttons onto the screen to save room and use a FULL keypad on the iphone, to be honest this movie kinda sucks.
i gave you a thumbs up for sharing your opnion. but personally i used to like the stylus but eveything on the iphone UI is made for fingers so its not too big of a deal i think
No stylus. The "Multi-touch" technology is one of the key features. Your fingers are all you need. Check out apple dot com/iphone/technology for more info.
I'm not going to buy one anyway... no joke.

iPhone = Glass Screen.
Glass Screen = One bad drop and you're once beautiful iPhone/iPod Touch is fucked.
Ethanace 3 years ago
Wrong glass - smoother, less friction and stronger crap plastic - cheep, cracks easily and breaks if dropped
Rockyroopam 3 years ago
Wrong.

Don't bring bullet-proof glass into it.

lenere 4 years ago
nope, the screen doesnt sense a stylus, and it would scratch the screen
patsfan1228 4 years ago
@MishMash41
It does, but it's 3rd party, meaning Apple didn't make it. The stylus tricks the phone into thinking a person's finger is on the screen.
