When the INA (Azad Hind Fauz) lost, some of their top officers were executed by the British. That caused a revolt in the Bombay Navy and British lost its power. The had no choice but to leave. They didn't leave due to begging or "diplomacy" of of some of the Indian leaders. The British couldn't care less about some stupid boot-licker poor students joining politics and pretending to be future leaders of a huge country like India.
That's right. Three officers of INA were tried in Delhi and this drew too much sympathy from people all over including Nehru, Gandhi, Indians who were loyal to British. The British withdrawal began after this. Bose was not around to claim his success. Gandhi ways are admirable but his ways made Indians lazy and always beg for their rights rather than grab them. Indians act like British did us a favor by giving independence.
Actually, this is an extremely crucial reason behind the British withdrawal from India -- rebellion in the Army. strangely, no one seems to know of this or talk about it. And Bose a big hand behind the rebellion because of Azad Hind Force. The soldiers did want to kill fellow Indians. But Gandhi's contribution was Civil Disobedience Movement. screwed up British economics completely. remember, then a bulk of British energy needs were met by coal from India and timber.

Yes, Bose was great leader. But he never once disrespected Gandhi. Infact a number of the units in the INA were named after after his fellow colleagues in the freedom movement. While one may disagree with Gandhi's beliefs or his way of going about accomplishing independence, why the disrespect?

He continue to inspiring many people even today(Obama is one of them). When the INA (Azad Hind Fauz) lost, some of their top officers were executed by the British. That caused a revolt in the Bombay Navy and British lost its power. The had no choice but to leave. They didn't leave due to begging or "diplomacy" of of some of the Indian leaders. The British couldn't care less about some stupid boot-licker poor students joining politics and pretending to be future leaders of a huge country like India.

That's right. Three officers of INA were tried in Delhi and this drew too much sympathy from people all over including Nehru, Gandhi, Indians who were loyal to British. The British withdrawal began after this. Bose was not around to claim his success. Gandhi ways are admirable but his ways made Indians lazy and always beg for their rights rather than grab them. Indians act like British did us a favor by giving independence.

Actually, this is an extremely crucial reason behind the British withdrawal from India -- rebellion in the Army. strangely, no one seems to know of this or talk about it. And Bose a big hand behind the rebellion because of Azad Hind Force. The soldiers did want to kill fellow Indians. But Gandhi's contribution was Civil Disobedience Movement. screwed up British economics completely. remember, then a bulk of British energy needs were met by coal from India and timber.

He was what most people would consider a great revolutionary hero in terms of military and intellectual strength. As for Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, well... he was a leader too but came from the stance of philosophy, intelligence, passive resistance and religious beliefs. Both leaders had the intent to fight the British in their own way to help achieve India's independence. Realistically-speaking, you would need both types of leader for such a goal to be accomplished.

My friend please refer to his Book 'The Indian struggle' or else refer to his speeches.
His idea was to establish a strong centralised government that would overcome the damages incurred by the struggle for freedom, for a period of ten year,and then Indian people will choose their government democratically on their mandate.
Now it is for you to interpret whether he is an autocrat or progressive democrate who has no hunger for power.

Had Netaji not attacked India the congress and the muslim league would have no doubt sold India to the British once again. At this time even Gandhi was morally weakened due to ill health and old age.
