I think you only did well against the other SM probably because you felt that you were on a leveled ground with him, I mean kiting opponents is fine when you can't find the right time to enter and combo, but you didn't seem to be looking for it either... still nice video and Thank you for sharing!

I'd say you're not bad for a starter, better than me when I started my 1st round of pvp during the day of it's release. I think it would be more appropriate to show starters normal COMPENSATION PvP rather than ladder as in ladder your builds and equipment count. Now lv 40 cap + newly tweaked HP suffix makes ladder quite unfair and I would often try avoid ladder-ing.

Part1

Doubting the difficulty of the SM is easy, they're not really easy. They're not wanted in nests, unless your gears are nice. Since SM are versatile, they dont specialize in any field. unlike other classes Sorc excells at damage, Priests for buff support, Pallys for defense, Mercs as frontliner, Acro for up close, BM for damage from even longer range, but less Aoe than Sorc and really SM don't really get much stats from gears. SM has the most expensive equipment due to their population.

Not to mention Eyedentity is buffing up other classes to increase their popularity, leaving out SM's as they're the most popular class(kids: Imma make SM lol Getsuga tenshou). But LOL I really love this class, it's the most exploitable and has the highest potential than any class in DN. SM have all the tools to counter each class strength, although to do that you need to be uber pro. Evasive/Defensive/Range/Physic­al/Magic

SM has all of it.

i use parrying stance whenever i come across ELs and Acros then counter wave/slash the heck out of them. ^_^ but dont get too close on ELs w/ ice shield, just keep enough distance not to be frozen by their shield and freezing skill.

iron wall-can't be knockdown and decrease physical

ice shield- can''t be knockdown and decrease both patck and matck and also freezes enemies when the shields are touch.

I''m not really a pro and i''m good at close-combat and i don''t juggles enemies i pin them down and use CS-MLS to damage enemies while incapt ,and when they fall i use RS cancel 2ndslash, and use rage, turn [G] HMS . nc kazu (^_^).

+99 for your crit build. i understand your strategy on EL in pvp. But doing the SAME SH*T on merce/sm/pally ? You SUCKED. I think you've been hangin around too much with Monsters on Dungeons that ur moving like THEM in pvp. which is DULL. Show us what your SET can REALLY DO in PVP, Not Running around like a SISSY then throwing your Sh*t at people.

*Note: Hit and Run = strategy ( mostly for EL's that are Ice-Shield-Whole-Round Noobs ) ,

*Tip: Your Excellent on Gears, Focus on USING IT WISELY.

I do agree im new to PvP though, only have 32 games in 32 cap. nothing wrong with playing safe at the start. and this video is quite outdated as off now. because i've climbed to over 2k ratings and i don't play the same anymore. so yes i've improved ; can wall juggle and juggle ppl in ladder now and i know why you're feeling this way as well. btw be constructive in your comments if you really mean to help people

Just some quick pointers:

1.) Tumble: Avoid tumbling sideways as much as possible. Very bad habit. When you face a good Mercenary player, you'll know what I mean. Why? You waste your Dash, which is crucial for proper positioning.

2.) Rage/HMS: Try to use them after the opponent used their evasion (Tumble, Sliding Step, etc.). No offense, but what you're doing in the video won't really work against higher level opponents.

3.) Other than that, everything's fine. You just need more experience.

You pvp like a pure pve moon lord o_o. I have the bad urge to go NONONONO! on certain things you do but when i kept watching it still worked. I'm going Glad and im a huge fan of pvp, i've been debating on making a pvp instruction video for wall bouncing, auto attack combos and juggles.

i do the same hit and run tactics, because as of now pvp play is imbalanced, and pls. do not say the reason why SM's are getting owned by mercs/EL/Acro is because the SM is a noob or somethin like that oh pls try being an SM and you will see what i mean, well eventually pvp overpoweredness(if there's such a word) would change come lvl45 2nd jobs.. that's the time people will see why hit and run tactics+ Ubber fast Tumble cd+MoonLord+enough basic pvp knowledge = mostly wins in pvp

Can i comment on how u play ur pvp with sm? sry not trying to be a critic here... lets c... first u should really play aggressive with sm.... and second u have a bad habbit of using tumble... (well i think u can figure it out urself by seeing ur ownself battling since u recorded it) thirdly, i think u might consider putting hacking stance into ur skills slot... u can combo with front shove and then use hacking stance... this will makes ur opponent immobilize.

@zilchzz if you realize i dont really use hacking stance because some view it as a blacklist skill, i only use it if someone use it against me. the one i used at the paladin was a mis-use. just like how i misuse relieve against the SM

the basics for pvp? don't make me laugh. the way you fight as an sm is pathetic. cooldown horing, wiating for moonlight splitter, run and spam moonlight splitter. that aint even basics. i commend you for you gear and all, but pvp-wise, no respect.

@McTruffling cooldown horing? lol so we should go headstrong against a paladin/merc/el with their shields/buffs up? no its a strategy using MLS to widdle your opponent before engaging is 1. nth wrong with mls run and spam. thats of course. and by pvp basics i was refering to the knowledge of invincibility frames and which skills for SM does that. that is what i meant by basics. apparently your basics is doing comboing/wall juggling/juggling/everything, i admit i dont have that then

In pvp... that is a skill. Most people do not have the patience to wait for cool downs and escaping from others isn't as easy as you think it is... especially with long range classes (though they pretty squishy so escaping from them is not rly needed)

Try escaping from a pala/priest who is good at aiming his stun bolt...

If you pvp with an EL before, you should know that every benefits comes with disadvantages. Do you know how fast this shield drains EL's mp? If you don't I suggest actually see more pvp fights with EL using the shield without caution (if you need, see my channel) It runs out (if you spam normal skills as well) in close to 1.30 min plus from start of continuous use. Taking this into account, any class that can control their outburst and do burst dmg skills will win.
