i know this sounds stupid, but does a mic have to be plugged in? I did all these steps and even used the dB prgrm to convert my files and when I start the program, the game, and use my hotkey, the black bar says song is playing but I cant hear anything and there is no mic symbol above my head.

You don't need a mic to play the songs. On rare occasions some people said that plugging in a mic fixed their problem, but it isn't necessary.

i cant really help you on that cause we get other results.. i do it -20 all the time and its pretty good for me.

all you need to do is play with the settings.. not only with that, with bass and other crap.. just play with that till you get your best results..

y0! i know why this was not working for most people as well as me. when you first open HLSS you have to go to file options etc.. then browse to set were you want the HLSS to go. well on your Tutorial you said to put it in your c:/programfiles/games/steam/st­eamapps/xxxx/counterstrike but its supose to be counterstrike source folder! not counterstrike.. then everything should work fine (^_^) so make sure all of you put it in your counterstrike source folder not counterstrike.

The setting in the video is the setting is working good with my pc.

anyway, you should play with the setting and make some changes, just play with that and test that each time.. thats the only way you can find your best settings with your best quality.

You should know which song is played ( you set F1 as linkin park - numb for example, so you just must remember it..)
