@harlequinsCrest muted piano strings - puts shirts inside the piano so they can't ring out, make that plucking noise instead as they're instantly muted by the shirts. The only actual piano notes not muted are the lower bass notes on the piano. You can tell it's him cause his hands are playing a mental amount of notes very quickly yet the only 'piano' notes you can hear is one low bass note on the beat

there is a difference from a classical piano virtuoso who has been playing since they were a fetus and a guy who taught himself how to play from scratch and even then his style is much more jazz oriented.

anyway Ben rarely shows off the true extent of his skill in his songs but some of his piano solos (the one from his cover of Get your Hands off of my Woman) are truly top notch.

id be willing to bet money he could play chopin easily if he tried.
