  • My summer HOME!!

  • im 35 years old ... grew up in Duluth. Me, my dad and brother listened to almost every game while back-trolling for walleye. My father has been in brodcasting since 1967 all through Minnesota. I beleive when my father tells me that John and Herb were some of MLB's best brodcasters. this brought back so many memories. im crying while watching this.........

  • I grew up listening to Herb Carneal. Never met him but I always considered him part of the family.

  • I agree with sethcorn, I miss Gordo and Herb. It's remarkable how much better they are than the current broadcast team. Back before all the games were televised, I depended on those guys. Listen to Gordo and Herb's calls on the Gladden homer, Hrbek Grand Slam, Puckett homer etc. You can tell by the tone of their voice what's happening. "Puckett swings and hits a blast." No offense to the new guys, but there's very little voice inflection. Oh well, thank you Herb and Gordo and CCO'!!

  • I'm gonna Miss Jon Gordon so much. Much like good ol Herb.

  • This was awesome.

  • have to love all the commentators

  • congratulations minnesota for winning the central division again the white sox were just a complete joke down the stretch wow..im from toronto i think maybe the detroit tigers or kc royals would have done better than chicago

  • Great vid. I love how during the Puckett home run in game 6 of the 91 series you can hear everyone in the booth cheering. Great moment in Twins history!

  • @gmlittl This is our year to win it all again.

  • You should have made this later so we can hear the game 163 highlights :)

    Great video, though

  • @BigAlJeff actually this was just highlights of when they were on wcco radio

  • @idaman12345 Oh, okay...

But somebody should put together radio calls from last year's game 163...that would be epic :)

  • @BigAlJeff not entirely sure about the radio call but you can find highlights from the tv broadcast on youtube

  • hahah this year....if ur at the metrodome and you see a rainbow you know its to the target feild. THIS YEAR IS IT!!!!!!

  • Rest in Peace Herb

  • Keep God's commandments or die in Hell.

  • Are you some kind of retard idaman? This is the metrodome, not the superdome in New Orleans...get you fucking locations right you dumb shit

  • did you see the post (marked as spam) i replied to?

  • stupiddome is more like it

home of the two biggest blowjobs EVER

    katrina, and the championship game

  • Why would you say that? You're a stupid jerk.

  • @ 2:33 greatest metrodome moment ever

  • We're gonna win Twins!!

  • hawksfan212a, what makes you think that your piece of shit White Sox will play better at Target Field?????? HUH????????? i look forward to the Twins beating the Sox by 21 runs again in 2010....which in 2009, was at US Cellular Field.....

the sox are the biggest UNDERACHIEVERS in baseball with the worst TV announcers!

  • you really want to talk about shitty stadiums, you have us cellular

  • there are a few good things about the metrodome...

    1. the noise which was louder than any other stadium in history from 1987 and 1991 World Series

    2. 60,000 fans welcoming the Twins home as they returned from Detroit after clinching the AL Championship in 1987

    3. And of course all the memories from the World Series, 3000 hit milestone games, etc.

    4. The Homer Hanky!!!!

  • @dcaff330 NOT AS LOUD AS THE UNITED CENTER

  • yes, it is.

  • I don't understand why people thought it was a bad place for baseball it was great the temperature was always perfect no matter if it was snowing or raining out. The twins had a great home field advantage and all the memories that go along with it

  • " it´s way back , way back, it´s gone, the twins go to the 7th game.. touch´em all Kirby Puckett , touch`em all Kirby Puckett...and the Twins has won this game 4 to 3 , and a DRAMATIC homerun by Kirby Puckett ... " I´ll never forget this, now u´re on the heaven listening this 4 ever and ever, I LOVE THIS GAME, THANKS 2 u Kirby

  • i was 8 my first ever baseball game was game 6 by far the best game i will ever go to

  • nothing beats the famous "gravity defying" ball

outside of puckett's game 6 that is

  • twins are the best

  • no more great moments! The best is Kirby in game 6!

  • YOU suck

  • Gee Thanx!!!

  • you suck

  • Did the Twins make the Playoffs this year???

  • yes, another game 163

  • sure it wasnt the best place to play but it had best home field advantage in all of baseball... i hope we have cold field advantage next year... im not ashamed to say im going to miss it

  • I wonder if Minnesota has one more Metrodome moment left in them...good luck to the Twins in the Tiebreaker on Tuesday:-D

  • Metro dome was worst place to play baseball but great baseball was played there:)

  • the place might have been a dump, but it was OUR dump. there have been so many great memories in that building.

im gonna miss the big inflatable toilet. but i cant wait for target field! go twins!!

  • coonor your so right

  • i love the twins and im going to miss the metrodome so much(even though i live 7 hours away).

  • John Gordon is the best baseball commentator in the history of the game.

  • Herb Carneal...RIP

    Kerby Pucket...RIP

  • Kirby Pucket RIP*

  • great job. Thanks for all the memories

  • Agree very good.

But I am one of those that says they didn't need a new stadium. I like the dome, about the only problem with it is its location. Downtown.

I will say this too the Twins are going to loose something that they have had in the dome too and that is "dome field advantage" The field still gets those that are not used to it. I also like the wheelchair seating area in the dome as you can see well. The new stadium for wheelchairs on lower levels will have seats over there heads.

  • Thanks for posting - great stuff. I vividly remember the Metrodome many times, whether it be Twin games, Viking games, or the 1991 NCAA tournament game between Duke and Iowa.

  • very good video
