there is a really cute cat that lives in my backyard. she has fleas and my dad doesn't like that and so every time she come inside my dad chases her out then she goes to the window and stares at me with huge innocent eyes. I feel so sad
Hello, I need some advice on my situation and I really appreciate any feedback. I am an animal lover but after my pet passed, I decided not have another for a while. Unfortunatly, my neighbor likes to buy new pets and seriously neglect them. In result, I have been caring for two cats out of simpathy. I cannot afford to buy ADVANTAGE or FRONTLINE, but I have read about poison issues with the more affordible brands. I am worried about this and I do not know what my options are? Can you help?
@UseYourDisillusions buy a flea comb put the animal in an empty bath tub and get combing works for fleas and eggs make sure the tub is wet the fleas will stick to the water....make sure you comb carefully and all over down to the skin
While the newest flea products – socalled “spot-on” liquids that are applied monthly to a dog’s skin – are being marketed aggressively by the manufacturers and veterinarians and represented as safe alternatives to their predecessors, the fact is, they are simply newer. All the “active” ingredients in these spot-on preparations – imidacloprid, fipronil, permethrin, methoprene, and pyriproxyfen – have been linked to serious health effects in laboratory animals
The comment below me is exactly what happened in my family :(

Ow...ow...ow! Fleas are attracted to me only. Nobody in my family suffers from this. Flea chicks love me. Too bad I'm not their type.

Flea collars are NO GOOD. Please don't use. Only value for flea collars is inside your vacuum cleaner when you clean flea infested carpets!
