  • the only intros i recognized, were Hot for Teacher - Van Halen, and Painkiller - Judas Priest

  • This drum never glue to any mix

  • @leadman22 I totally agree with you! Not impressed!

  • Wait, I'm confused. I have a TD-20sx. Are you saying I can add sound samples to it?? I admittedly lost the manual in a move, but I always thought the internal bank of sounds was all I could play. Not true??

  • With Steven Slate Drums can i record an acoustic (original) drum track say in Pro Tools, move it over to Logic Pro 9 and then add samples from SSD (audio files?) in to logic for drum Enhancement?

  • @kylejackson54 Yea. Just get Slate trigger! It rocks for real!!!!

  • I'm probably going to get hate for this, but they sound like Joey Jordison's live kit

  • 1:26 Hot for Teacher ?

  • i think he tried to play painkiller at the beginning:o

  • Thats whats up!! If you want some new kits check me out

  • et jamais de charley ??

  • do you have to have crazy hair to be good at drums?

  • the fill at :30 is harder to learn than it sounds

  • @jts024 LOL That's easy like hell

  • this or superior drummer

  • One thing me and my buddy started doing was layering multiple samples together. So for example we would find a "Scooped" bass drum sound and chain it with a "Flat-Midrange" bass drum sound. EQ them together and it sounds BEAST. Same concept with the snare too like a bassy sounding snare with a sharp rattlying snare. Thats how you get that shotgun sound like on Metallica's Black album/ Peripherys albums. Obviously you wouldnt "layer" the symbols, and the toms sound fine on their own.

  • HOLY SHIT

  • 1:20 Hot for teacher :D

  • The REV alive!

  • @binjolaanant

This guy owns the rev, easily XD

Anyways, awesome sounding samples, cant wait to be able to afford em :P

  • 1:22 Hot for Teacher WIN

  • Can u use this on anything other than Roland drum set?

  • @angeriod Yes, anything with midi.

  • Wow this drum set sounds really goood!

  • can i use these in fl studio piano roll?//

  • HOT FOR THE TEACHER FTW

  • how many sounds in this drum kit? OMG THIS IS MY DREAM DRUM SET!!

  • I got it BAD!!

  • cracky metal kit = miss may i 1st album.

  • @Kaiohate no they werent

  • @averydavery5476 listen to architect

  • @Kaiohate No Joey Sturgis makes his own samples

  • painkiller and hot for a teacher in a single video, man your a fucking genius

  • i just recently downloaded Steven Slate Drums 3.5. and it's on my computer..but i am having a lot of trouble putting the sounds on my roland drumset..i read this is compatible with all rolands electronic drumsets which is why I got it. but how do i get it so i can play all these sounds on my electronic drumset..i need help guys. any info is appreciated.

  • @omarpz2004 I'm not sure on actually loading them onto the drum module, may be possible but that I don't know. What I do know is you can use midi out with any drum set supporting midi, to trigger these in your software daw. For example, I use reaper and load up a Virtual instrument track which I trigger all my drums with. Makes for super easy recording/editing too.

  • this all really depends on how you mix it in the end. if you get the right velocities on your fills the right way, it will work perfectly when you compress and mix it into a song.

BTW i am saying this from experience.

  • 1:18 Hot Fo' Ticha!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i think they all sound alot alike, but they all sound good!

  • Next time I play live I have got to follow through with my crashes like that......

Don't forget, the longer your hands stay in the air... the fancier you are!!

  • Hey anyone know if i can do this on my roland td 4sx ???

  • Intense neck with the cracky metal kit.

  • do they sample snare drum rolls sounds?

  • @Likui yessir.

  • @Likui they sample different velocities, so when you hit the snare soft, it plays back a really soft snare hit.

  • @idreamtofflight the thing is I don't have an electronic drum if I get SSD I'll use my mouse to click for the drum beats, thing is if I just adjust the velocity in cubase it's not going to sound natural for snare drum rolls, sounds more like machine gun

  • @Likui I use Addictive Drums and if you plan out the velocities carefully you can get a fairly realistic snare roll sound.. just drum the part on a snare and take note on which parts are harder/softer, it's not that hard. Obviously it won't be as natural sounding as the real thing, but you can get veeeerryy close.

  • First Kit Sounds Like The Drumkit From Sevendust`s Animosity Album

    Awesome!!

  • 1:20 - 1:43 HOT FOR TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You just like showing off

  • Ya. Total fail at hot for teacher Lmao

  • blast beats fuckin suck. either that or it sucks on the kit. my blast beats sound like shit on ekits. maybe because you cant hit it hard enough

  • Where'd you get your samples?

  • Nice work, love electronic drums

  • Hahaha hot for teacher

  • 1:25 Motorhead!! uoooo!

  • @unaimix2 Hot for teacher - Van Halen

  • Best software drums I have heard for sure, but he is also playing on a very nice Roland kit it looks like. I would be interested to hear what they sound like on a Alesis DM-10 kit or something in that range.

  • Do I hear Hot For Teacher? I like the tom samples, and the rides. The kick sounds a little too murky, and some of the crashes are a little dull. Definitely kicks my Metalheads EZX + DFH's ass though.

  • @TheGregTV Steven Slate Drums is a software with drum samples designed for use with electronic kits, triggers, etc. Metalheads EZX is an expansion pack for EZdrummer, which has basically the same function, only it isn't as high-end as SSD, SD, BFD, etc. To answer his question anyway, Metalheads EZX isn't all too bad.

  • Painkiller indeed! First part of it, anyways! :)

  • Good stuff! I enjoy the sound!

And I made it in your tags?! Sweet!

    -mikey

  • I have a question, did you use metalheads ezx for this, and if so, is that software good?

  • @CoolCoverBro I have a question, are you an idiot? It clearly says Steven Slate drums.

  • @allhailpantera123 I have a question, do people have to be jerks on the internet, even on Christmas? Quite apparently, yes.

  • lol. he looks hilarious. good video man.

  • Love that snare!!

  • The cracky metal sounds like Lars'live set and the last one sounds like Portnoy's drums in a7x

  • snare sounds best on the thick metal, kick sounds best on the Dream, and the Dry metal kit reminds me of joey jordison lol

  • I THINK I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU

  • Out of all the drum kits out there, why did Steven Slate not do a VAN HALEN kit?!?!?!?!?!

  • cracky metal + the room mics on = heaven

  • @kijkenify that's the kit i use on all my metal tracks.

  • HOT FOR A TEACHER

  • dry metal kit´s the best

  • awesome dude

  • hot for the teacher

  • That is just insane touch on the double bass...I'm so glad i'm finally gonna meet this guy soon.

  • FUUUUUUUU#@$ sounds soo good!!

  • 0:55 FTW!!!

  • Glen kills! Nice post, apb

  • i want that kind of sound to my snare (2nd example and 1st i think is the same and i know will not sound like this, but i need any help to try to get that sound)

    any suggestion?

    (i have real drum set)

    how should i tune?

  • protools!

  • Sounds KILLER!!! You know if you use your other hand you can get the ride sound your looking for in HOT 4 TEACHER.

  • @WARLOCK70 Sounds just like the correct parts for Hot 4 Teacher to me. And pretty friggin awesome!! Damn!
